The surprises for me were that Lavine is in the top ten and Wiggins is #11.

These vert charts are not accurate. Take MJ for example. If he TRULY has a 48" inch vertical, that means he would clear his head 6" over the rim. At most, he's probably cleared his head 1-2" inches above rim. That would make his LEGIT vertical at 43-44". That means that is the amount of space between his feet and the ground. That's still GOAT tier stuff.

One guy that needs to be mentioned is Ja Morant. He is 3 inches shorter than MJ and he's clearly got his head above rim. Say he cleared 1-2" at some point, that means his vert is legit 46-47".

And where is Nate Robinson? LOL. Dude was 5'9" in shoes and jumped over Dwight. He's on that short list of greatest vert guys ever.

Ayton has a 43.5" vert

This list is a JOKE. Where is Gerald Green? He's clearly cleared his head over the rim by at least 3" in the past. Being he was 6'8", his legit vert is at least 43".

The easiest and truest measure of true vert is where a player's head is in relation to the rim. Not too perimeter players have gotten their head at rim level. MJ, Green, Bron, VC, Ja, etc. Not too many.

Pro tip: Never take listed NBA measurements for anything seriously.

Pro tip: Any measurements FultzNationRISE give's for Lebron, divide by 3.

You know a list is legit when 46.5" and 46" are considered higher then 48"

It is very tough. MJ was credited by 48 inch vertical - but the only documented measurements available were when he was in North Carolina. And with running start he had something like 46 inches. I also read that his 48 inch vertical was measured during pre-1984 Olympics, but did not see the evidence. Anyway Jordan is an extraordinary leaper. It would not surprise me if at his peak NBA years he had add 2 more inches than in college.

Or when they stretch it to twelve just to get Lelbron on there

He doesn't have a 48 inch vertical

Only a few guys have a legit 40+ inch vertical in the NBA

Jordan likely maxed out at 40 or just under 40

Would have been more interesting if the ranking was by position. I don't know who Evan Ungar is but 63.5''... holy shit. That's like jumping over Louie/Lebron23 with inches to spare.
