Powell most likely requested clippers as his preferred destination. Him and kawhi are best friends. Both San Diego guys, won a title with raptors together, I saw kawhi putting his arm around him last season as well. Apparently their moms even hang out

Covington has been terrible, I'm glad the Lakers didn't go for him. Powell is a solid player but he's getting paid 15 mil a year and will be a 20 mil guy in 2026, he's a great fit for the Clippers though.
