There were some before slave trade but they still came from africa. The majority of blacks that were in different parts of the world definitely were a result of the slave trade.

Then, they proceeded to explain to me how African slaves weren't just taken from Africa and deposited onto mainland United States, but that they were also dropped off on islands in the Caribbean and off the coast of Florida such as the Bahamas. They even went as far South as Central and South America. The slave trade was massive in scale apparently. Very fascinating information! Definitely something you wouldn't have been able to find online or in a book. Only that kind of information can be provided from someone who actually is Black when you ask them why they're Black in the first place.
