This Lakers team is one of the top ten funniest things to ever happen in the NBA. Ranks right up there with Roy Tarpley going all in and World B Free name change.

Notice how Lebron isn't needed to make plays for the Suns because the Suns have great ball movement and a 5 guys making plays (including the role players) versus Lebron's 1 playmaker team (dumb basketball)...

So why can't the Lakers play smart basketball like that?... It's almost like they're doing something dumb like letting one of their bigs monopolize the ball like a point guard, and this abnormal ball-dominance for a forward takes away from everyone else.

to be fair.. kobe never actually lost with that 2013 team. he had them rolling after the allstar break with the 2nd best record in the nba before ripping his Achilles

it was a historic mvp type season for him individually and they probly woulda beat the spurs and made the finals considering how hot kobe was and how he always destroys them in the playoffs

The Lakers don’t okay good team basketball because their role players are not very good, and their best players are all ball stoppers.

The ball always moves faster than the man. If you can quickly make a decision between the options — drive, shoot, pass — then you can always keep the ball moving.

PHX role players are very, very good and none of their best players stop the ball. Chris Paul is the only guy who stops the ball, and that’s okay. You can win with one guy who runs the offense and creates.

But you really can’t win with three or four guys on the court who stop the ball constantly. Mix in average shooting, poor decision making, old age and zero defense, and what you have is a team that despite the name recognition, is really bad.
