D has always been an issue with him and his teams. Sure, when he's engaged, he's pretty darn good.

But he's always had a questionable motor on D. And his body language is terrible at times. It all filters down to everyone else.

MJ could do it. Heck, he played all 82 games and every single Playoff game from age 33 - 35 and was arguably the best perimeter defender in the league. He was 35 and chasing Reggie Miller off screens in the 4th quarter of a Game 7 & held him scoreless in the 4th while also dropping 28/9/8 on an off-night. Lebron hasn't played defense since 2016.

Are you really going to include seasons he was 33 & 34 when discussing someone at 37 :lol 3-4 years, esp in your 30's, makes a significant difference. Not to mention, Jordan had substantially less mileage at that point in his career than LeBron currently does.

He's scoring too much, taking too many shots and sacrificing energy for D. He's getting his at the expense of others at times, which tells in the W-L record. He should be playing more within the flow, not just trying to get his.

He lost his lateral quickness, can't stay in front of defenders. Same thing goes for Ariza, Anthony, Howard, Jordan, Ellington.
