when Gretzky went to the kings the oilers won the cup the very next season

you need a ton of depth, great playmakers and a dominant goalie to win in the playoffs

no Canadian team has won since like 93 cause they can't get a large enough payroll and its rare anyone wants to play up here. if Crosby played for the sens his entire career do you actually think he ever wins anything lol

availability/toughness/durability is part of what makes a player great.. and scoring goals is infinitely harder than hitting an open teammate with a pass

you don't get it. points are a playmaker favored stat cause they get a point for being the 2nd or 3rd last guy to touch the puck. a center ( especially an all time great center ) that started the exact same time as a "basic goal scorer" having less total points than that "basic goal scorer" means you're an absolute f*cking joke

he is better overall. what you're thinking of is "all around"


overall means hes just better. ovechkins #1 or #2 all time great scoring ability and good playmaking and durability/toughness is worth more than crosbys great playmaking, good scoring and fragile body/mentality
