...in the context of playing the game of basketball, that is,

Then a team with Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony would be a 74-win team.

As it stands, they're below .500. WAAAYYYYYYY below. :confusedshrug:

Standing by for Brony Bunch to come in with their standard meltdowns.

It doesn't. Which is why Bron stans logic is self-refutating.

You should thank Full Court for showing you the error of your thought.

Longevity matters a hell of a lot. If it didn't, McGrady would have an argument over Kobe.

The discussion about longevity was that longevity matters when comparing 2 players. Full Court turned that into saying if longevity matters then 2 old players should win 74 games.

Which makes absolutely zero sense in any context, in past discussions or present.

I don't think you are intelligent enough to realize just how stupid Full Court is. :lol

You actually fell right in his stupid trap. :applause:

So you're saying that just because someone keeps on piling up longevity stats when they're past their prime doesn't mean they're actually still good. Good, that is, as it pertains to WINNING the game of basketball.

Makes sense to me.

Once again, you lose.

He is trying to discount the longevity argument (when comparing 2 players) by saying people that argue longevity matters should also believe by extension that old players (because longevity matters but only when comparing 2 players) would win 74 games.

He doesn't quite understand how dumb he is.

Exactly. Ridiculous, isn't it?

Just because you play a long time doesn't mean you have great longevity, LeBron is still an elite player at 37. Vince Carter was well past his prime by say age 32, he played until he was 43. Hell, Carmelo hasn't looked like Carmelo in like 7 years.

Nobody said that nor implied that.

Epic. Thread. Fail.

I've always argued that longevity matters when comparing 2 players.

So for example, if you compare LeBron vs Jordan. You should take into account their longevity and how great they were for how long.

Full Court expands on that to say if I believe longevity matters than I should also believe that 2 old players at 37 years old and 38 years old should win 74 games.

Which makes absolutely zero sense in any context.

Exactly my point. Carmelo has been a shell of himself for 7 years. Yet he's top 10 on the all time scoring list.

He's added on a lot of points over those 7 years.

The intentional dumbness of it serves to illustrate your idiocy. Clearly piling on points to boost your longevity stats DOESN'T make you a great scorer. You basically admitted that.

It's like you always come to battles of wits...

True that. Lebron has 3 other top 75 players at his disposal and he's struggling just to stay in the play-in race. :lol

And more stacked than the 2021 Bucks. And more stacked than the 2019 Raptors. And more stacked than the 2020 Heat.

And still below average. Just like 8ball's IQ.

Outsmarting you is child's play. I was making astute points for people that can actually grasp concepts more complex than 1 + 1.
