The Nets have had one glaring weakness when all are healthy and that is the center position.

Have they solved it?

Nets come back from 28 point deficit to beat the Knicks.
A Net fan will tell you t's the most exciting game they have seen in years.
They used their NBA leading and already NBA record 33rd different starting lineup.
Their 2 centers, Drummond and Aldridge combined for 43 minutes, 29 points and 29 rebounds.
Aldridge the scoring machine, Drummond the rebounding machine.
This without there starting forwards and guards.
OK, the Knicks are not a good team but still, this was impressive.

Biggest Weakness is Steve Nash, he never learned what a defensive system is because of Mike Cantoni

He also fully bought into the 'Antoni system of belief that teams don't need a Center and you can get away with Robert Covington and PJ Tucker 6'7" sized guys playing Center.

It's the reason this idiot plays Bruce Brown at Center all the time. It's his most used lineup BY FAR.

Certain horrible coaches simply charm their way into some idiot GM's good graces.

I agree. I called for Nash to be let go starting in January of 2021.

They still need 1-2 more solid wing defenders. Simmons will make up for alot of that but you can't rely on him to guard everyone and you dont' want to burden KD too much either.

Our biggest weakness is health

When healthy nobody can beat us

Agree with first sentence. Second sentence? Healthy warriors vs healthy nets? Cmon now.

Nets.

Nets are the clear cut favorites as long as they're all healthy come playoffs. Nobody should be close. If they don't win it's a failure on Nash period.

Even if Simmons FT shooting is still a massive issue, it's not going to matter because they're going to blow teams the **** out.

Simmons + Seth + Durant + Kyrie + Harris? **** out of here. Other teams are getting bombed the **** off the floor. It's arguable there isn't a better ball handler in transition and in finding the open man for 3 than Simmons atm.

Warriors have just as much firepower and have better depth. Clear favorites? yah no.

They're the 8th seed and will have played like 20 games at best together going into the post-season.

And Kyrie still can't play the home games.

They might have to go through a Heat/Sixers/Bucks kind of path...

far from clear cut favorites for just the Finals even.

Better depth?

How ya figure?

Nets have Curry, Aldridge, Griffin, Mills coming off the bench. A lock down defender in Brown, a bucket a minute rookie in Thomas. That's 11 deep who can all play.

This.

Nets have the highest ceiling but not the highest floor IMO, given the headcase nature of their stars and the lack of experience/cohesion as a group. Irving and Durant have barely played basketball together in their three years on the Nets. Now you add Simmons who has to figure out how to work with them. And so far theres no reason to be confident Steve Nash knows how to get the most from this group.

Theyre a wild card. Wouldnt bet on em, wouldnt bet against em.

Agreed. Their pace is going to be astonishing.

The New York State judicial system solved their biggest problem for half of the games they play. The other half they're screwed.

It's funny reading people debate whether the Nets or Warriors are the clear favorites when healthy. Foolish argument given their payroll. They're SUPPOSED to be the clear favorites.

The Nets have about $24M in higher payroll and the Warriors $30M than the #1 seed Heat, add $4M to those numbers for the 2nd seed Bulls.

Can you imagine how strong those teams would be if you added $30M in talent on top of their existing roster?

people are underrating the bucks. Gs has a great record but they're not their 15-16 team(worried a bit about their offense). Nets are more talented but not by a big margin like before and have no continuity and the kyrie stuff is a worry.
