Putting aside ideology, the one thing that drove me away from the left is their contempt for decent, good and hard working people. The Rittenhouse thing and the COVID arc/trucker protests were tipping points in all of this for me. Political labels don’t mean much to me anymore. What matters most is integrity. Conservatives always reference the Constitution as their guide to a stable and prosperous country. The Left wants the opposite. So one side is clearly right, and the other is clearly wrong.
