View Full Version : How come Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Love, AD are all past their prime?

They’re all younger than LeBron outside of Wade, and they all played far less minutes than LeBron

But LeBron is still playing like it’s his prime, and they’re all shells of themselves? :confusedshrug:

CP3 and Lebron are tight and they're both 37 years old right?

And CP3 lobbied to keep HGH off the banned list?

Did he succeed in that btw?

Not really fair to mention Bosh who had a blood clotting issue.

However there is no denying the fact the LeBron's level of play is freakish given his age and mileage.

It's unfair to compare their careers to LeBron's career, considering how big of an anomaly he is. Physically, he has some of the best genetics ever. Combine that with the fact that he also takes very good care of himself, and the luck he's had of never sustaining a major injury and you see why he's still dominating.

I'm seeing the pattern too OP. Kyrie became a social activist and even got crazier. Bosh and Ingram had blood clots. KLove got depressed. Wade and Kuzma became homosexuals(not that there's anything wrong with that). Delonte became homeless.

You don't know shit about basketball if you think LeBron is playing as well as he did in his prime. Stop looking at stats and watch the damn games. His defense has regressed to the point that he now relies more on gambling for steals/blocks and he can no longer drive to the cup like a freight train.

That said it's impressive he can still put up the numbers he is dropping though it certainly isn't leading to the kind of success he had in the past when he hoisted all those bum Cavs teams into the playoffs. (of course that could partly have to do w/the West being far superior to the craptastic East he played in for so long)

Bosh is younger than LeBron? Thought he was 10 months older and forced to retire in his prime because of a medical condition. :confusedshrug:

It's no secret that I don't like Lebron, but saying that he's still playing like he's in his prime is doing him a disservice. He's clearly on the decline and nowhere close to where he was 5 years ago.

Only to fans of a certain kind of person does four games under .500 = "dominating."

Those guys are either long retired or ancient has-beens, meanwhile LeBron at the age of 37 gets as much slack with regards to criticism as the Giannises, the Lukas, the Embiids and the Jokics of the league. In his 19th season. With more mileage on his body than any player in the league by a gargantuan margin. :applause:

I think Wade is retired.

Maybe just maybe Lebron didn't play with all-time greats. Sure all of these guys are hall of famers but perhaps they were just low level hall of famers. Perhaps they aren't even Top 75 guys.

As much as 2020 AD was a mega stud top 5 player in the league.

I don't think you will see that kind of player anymore for a full healthy season.

So once again, the take away from this thread is that in his ENTIRE career, Lebron's greatest achievement is

...oldness. :applause:

AD is turning 29, not 34.. He's not in Kawhi's tier as far as injuries go so what's the problem? Durant's had more injuries than him and I don't see anyone saying that KD is no longer capable of being as good. Lebron stans WANT Davis to stay injured and fall off which is despicable.

Age doesn't matter for injury prone players.

Half of AD's seasons are injury plagued.

Durant is probably trending in AD's direction.

Durant missed first half of 2021 season.
Durant is trending to miss at least 1/3 of 2022 season.

Lebron has a deal with the devil. Any star/potential star he plays with, he sucks the blood and life out of them for himself.

It's all I can really think of, or maybe he's just better than them all.

He's had a Jones' fracture, multiple knee injuries and a torn achilles. What's AD's worst injury? A torn labrum from 2016?

AD was healthy for 4 straight years prior to last season. He's missed games but these injuries aren't really as worrying in terms of longevity.

Durant missed an entire season and has so far played less games than AD these last 2 years, yet no one's making fun of his injuries or making up "Day to day" nicknames for him.

This is all ignoring the reality that AD sucked a dick this year. As in barely a decent NBA starter despite “good” box score stats. Zero impact on the game. Maybe even a negative most times.

AD hasn’t been a dominant player for two seasons now.

Kevin Love otoh is still pretty good. Huge bounce back season into prime level. Not peak but prime level.

Why are 16/7 stats "sucking a dick" for AD but top 30 all-time for Pippen?

The difference is that Jordan could win with just a "pippen" and Lebron cannot... (AD is better defender than Pippen btw)

The same thing happened to 13/14 Wade - everyone said he sucked when he started producing like Pippen, aka 20/5/5 in the 13' Finals and 14' ECF.

Lebron's frontcourt ball-dominance simply turns teammates to spot-up shooter, so he can't win with less like Mike

This is false. He played great before he got hurt. He's been the only consistent defensive player on the team all ****ing season.

And are you telling me Love's playing better than AD or is more consistent? I'm on the Kevin Love train this season and think he's been amazing but Davis has kept this season afloat for the Lakers in so many games but obviously the early injuries/exits in some of these games weigh on his averages.
