Dame could have shut up critics after being named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team. Instead, he has been a non factor thos entire season.

Spot should have been for McGrady, Dwight or Alex English.

The media put him in the top 75 because he hit half court walk-off.. the media is dumb af

Dwight should have 100% been on the list. His career accolades/totals-wise is easily top 50 all-time IMO. You could argue against T-Mac as his prime was very short and he never did anything in the POs. Dame's prime numbers are amazing but Trae took his spot already.

Dame's sitting out because Portland is trying to tank. They're currently doing a bad job at it though.

You're right but people don't think Dwight's 09' run was anything special because he just beat a bunch of bums in Cleveland (66-win team)

The reality is that those Magic were historic underdogs (one of the biggest underdogs to ever win a series) - so he deserves credit... Meanwhile, the 08' Cavs were a bummy 45-win team until Lebron was paired with prime Klay offense (Mo) - this taught us that Lebron needs shooters and turned the Cavs into the league favorite

Not only that but Dwight has incredible accolades overall

8x All-NBA, 3x DPOY, 8x All-Star, 5x All-Defense, 2x Blocks leader, helped the Lakers win the chip in 2020.

There are a bunch of players on that list who can't sniff those accolades.

If you look at his prime, he averaged 21/14 2.8 bpg ~60%FG in the Playoffs from '08-'14. He had 40/14/4 66.7%FG in that Game 6 against Cleveland to send them home.

Wow they put him in over Tracy McGrady and Dwight?

Dame is about the most non-impact player you can imagine, modern day Mitch Ritchmond.

Facts are they're never going to have an accurate list until they do the rational thing and remove players who are clearly no longer deserving of being on it. Every time they update it they're going to be hamstrung by having 10-20 spots, at least, taken up by players who have no business still being on there. Not having the likes of Dwight or McGrady on the last list was an absolute joke.
