lebrons wanted out and got out in
2010
2014
2018
and now 2022 ( at very least after next season )
hes a ticking time bomb. part of a players value to a team is being available. just as much as an injured player is a hindrance so is completely self destructing your own franchise. Kobe got mad at management but patched things up and played out 17 positive years and helped provide 5 championships. Jordan played out 13 years and helped provide 6 championships to a team ( with a little over a year off from suspension )
the most lebron can give any team is a few years before his teams implode cause of drama or his own selfishness and insecurities then he runs like a typical spoiled brat.
there's basically almost no difference in drafting a grant hill, derek rose and a lebron james. that's lebrons value to a franchise
luckily for him he chose places with more help than they had
but at the end of the day if there was an all time draft and you knew lebrons track record and took it into consideration the same way we would all take grant Hill and Derrick roses track record into account. and even len bias's. you know if you select one of these guys you won't get what you expect for more than a very short time
so lebrons value as a player should be given a HUGE asterisk like a player who has a career ending injury coming up. none of us would select Derrick Rose knowing what we know. he's fragile. so is grant Hill. that's physical health we factor in. with lebron it's mental health. he's obviously not right in the head if he keeps burning bridges. he's a journeyman. that isn't worth more than Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan's career to a franchise.
