Even KD didn't have that in 2017 because Klay is a secondary option like Pippen

The Lakers didn’t play tonight.

He’s the only guy that won with 0 All-Star teammates, 0 All NBA teammates and 0 All Defensice teammates when he won in 2016

And he led his team in every stat for that chip :applause:

538 claimed that we've never seen three 1st options on 1 team ("3 team-carrying stars"):

I'll concede the defensive component of their data is invalid because they use defensive BPM, but the offensive component is accurate and it shows that Lebron had the most offensive help ever and drastically underachieved the expectation (suboptimal bron-ball)

I'm just pointing out how it wasn't me that said the thread title - that's from 538 and they bring up a good point - three 1st options on one team is unprecedented, although maybe the 80's Lakers had that.

And the Celtics have quietly been on a tear this month.. so you never know - they could make it close

KD had two first option level players last year.:confusedshrug:

For like 10 games?

Pointing out the exception proves the rule - only Lebron had 1st options play 2nd & 3rd option

You asked the question, I answered. No, Lebron isn't the only one. Klay Thompson is also a better player than Kevin Love.

You ever had Crystalhead? I'm about to bring in my Friday evening with a glass or two on the rocks. All that to say I've given you two posts worth of attention. That's all for today and I'll leave you to spin in circles. Oh don't worry, I'll come back to see your reply because vodka always goes well with a good joke, but rest assured I couldn't give a single solidary fukk about whatever bullshit you're about to conjure up next.

If everyone on a Western team was a worse scorer than Klay (aka if Klay is 1st option on a West team), that team wouldn't win 40 games, whereas Love won 40 in the West with zero help because he was a legit 1st options, while Klay is a 2nd or 3rd option.

Furthermore, Love couldn't average 20 as 3rd option alongside a frontcourt ball-dominator like Lebron, while Klay could alongside a great player like KD

Btw, I'm hitting up the Tahoe OG from Kynd Cannabis - it was a great wake and bake that inspired a great OP in another thread but the mods deleted that original thought because they're douchebags

Klay would have been first option on those Wolves squads, and Love would have been 2nd option on those Warriors squads( pre KD) or on any playoff team, let alone a team with championship aspirations, so moot point like most of what you say. Klay's a better player than Love.

You did manage to get a third reply out of me, so well done on that front.

2nd option champs are the most overrated players ever, while 3rd options Love/Bosh get shitted on because LeBallDominate wasn't good enough to win with them as 2nd option like MJ/Kobe won with Pau/Pippen
