Clippers are tearing it up on both ends of the floor and playing very hard.. Not sure how you beat someone like that. You need a high-energy roster to counter teams like that..

For the last shot. That's a fine strategy too. Lakers had no timeout either so it's fine to try to end it there. Melo just took a horrendous rushed shot. If you are trying to get the last shot then be sure it's actually a buzzer-beater or at least as close to it as possible.

Yeah, I don't know why he passed it to Melo. Should have driven in to try to draw a foul or just get a high-percentage shot by the paint.

you're a ****ing moron. if you're down 1 or 2 you go early to extend the game. especially with no timeouts cause then you don't have time to get the ball up the Court if you have to intentionally foul after a miss. Lakers got lucky with a baseball pass full court tip out of bounds but most of the time that's a steal.

horrible strategy. you wind the clock down for a walk off if you're tied. not down. Jesus you're slow

There are 2 options:
1) Take a quick shot and play the foul game. You will probably end up in the same situation again, but you will have to run full court without a timeout and less time on the clock. You are banking on LAC missing a FT.
2) Get the final shot for the win with no foul game. You only get one chance though with this. (what Lakers did)

Both strategies are viable. The mistake LeBron made was not trying to either drive in or actively trying to develop a play. Then of course gives Melo the ball in a horrendous situation, and Melo takes that bad shot with 2 opponents around him. Lebron should have driven into the paint or at least try to create a high-percentage shot for someone else. There was nobody moving around from the Lakers side either. Everyone was standing still and watching rather than moving around without the ball like the Warriors or Spurs typically do.

you only take time off the clock if you run a play to get a better opportunity. if you just stand with the ball letting seconds come off the clock you're taking the same look as if you were taking a quick shot (which Melo ended up taking) .. you can get that shot right away. if the Lakers had a gameplan to run a specific play to get a good look at the basket then ok fine. but that's not what happened..

Bad loss to have lebron is to blame for this one.

The bench played hard and focused. Young guys did their thing. DWIGHT was engaged. Westbrook was in control.

I can see LA fans forcing him out. Every star has a weakness but when they are Declining the weakness is more apparent.

He hot potatoed that ball to melo. No play plan. Froze and has no confidence making free throws end of games.

Lebron has masked his decline since 2019 pretty well. Slowly its not as masked.

Top 5 all time great. Not conducive to winning ball games now like before. Lakers won't blow it up but it's clear he plans to stay to play and do his Hollywood business.
