I still haven't followed things as much to have opinions that I'm comfortable with. (For example it took me a year to join the Corona discussion, unlike people like Blade that talk with authority about things where he only read a CNN headline. Or for example, so sure that Kyle Rittenhouse shot Hubert in the back while he was running away, even though the trial was already over, all the facts known, with nobody else saying such a thing.) But from what I gather from my limited knowledge, Putin wouldn't have invaded Ukraine if Trump was in charge, just because he wouldn't need to. This seems to be a defensive move for Russia, driven by an agenda behind the people behind Biden. These people are not good people.

I haven't read any comments on the matter, other than I think Blade and Off the Court saying things that Putin is a version of Hitler, and basically being sold, manipulated by the media into thinking this is a simplistic fight between good and evil. You have a complicated history that involves oil, culture, installed governments, and more importantly, the future security of a country. Yet you have CNN convincing simple people that it's just good versus evil, and their team is the caring good guys.

I read something from 2008 of some guy predicting this attack, based on factors related to the security of Russia. Very predictable stuff. (For example, if China gets to install missiles in Canada, or Cuba. That would not be good for the US. Would the US just let it happen?) Yet for the simple minded, Hitler, good versus evil.

How can it be a defensive move for Russia when Putin is the one who invaded another country? I'm not a fan of Biden - I think he's done a terrible job as president - cancelling the Keystone Pipeline on the first day as pres and overall discouraging anything oil/gas complicates the options that we have now - USA is still buying oil from Russia and other European countries are dependent on Russia's oil (iow enriching Russia to allow Putin to have the money for this invasion) BUT Biden is not the one who is behind this invasion - that's the madman Putin.

Well, I don't agree with vaccine mandates, either. But this invasion is not driven by Biden's agenda. If anything, it's highlighted the importance of US being energy independent (not just for us but for our allies so they are not dependent on Russian oil).

What the hell is this thread? I Googled Insidehoops Hitler Putin and this was the number one option. I don't go to the NBA forum anymore so i wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't Googled it. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on what Highwhey is doing.

It so out of context. Reading it as an OP actually feels like a Walk on Water thread where he starts talking about his life problems from his point of view.

Would you find it legit if China installed a new government in Canada and moved its military there? Would you think it would be wrong if the US prevented that from happening. What if lets say Canada, provided water to say New York, and this new government blocked it? (Yes, I know New York doesn't get water from Canada, but what if?) Again, I'm new to this, it's going to take me month to know every little detail. Would you see that as a something bad for your people?

What if the US and China signed a deal where China will not install it's military next door to the US, specifically to prevent war, but China went ahead and try to make Canada part of their version of NATO. Do you think the US would feel uneasy about that, of just look at it as modern times and bad things only happened in the past.

Those are the types of things that I'm considering. Even in real life I consider my enemies point of views.
