He turned the Lakers' defense from worst to first in 2020 and led the Lakers in scoring for the regular season and playoffs.

Why can't he save Lebron again?.. He'll have the 2 month break he needs to lead the league in playoff scoring and dominate Joker

Lebron formed super-teams because he couldn't win the East with homecourt in 09/10, and then got AD after being lottery out West.. Apparently big man ball-dominance (Shaq dominating the ball) is the worst strategy/brand possible that requires the most help.

This season is nothing like 2020.

Lakers don't have any defensive depth this year beyond AD. Reeves plays decent defense and Stanley, occasionally Lebron in short bursts when he feels like it. Nobody else plays defense.

2020 Lakers had Caruso, kcp/green/bradley, Lebron, AD, Dwight/McGee were all good defensive players. That's more than half the roster. Rondo was okay too on defense even though he was nothing like Rondo of old.

The Lakers defense wasn’t the worst in 2018-19. It was 12th. It also wasn’t 1st in 2019-20. It was 3rd. AD can’t save LeBron because he never did and even if he did, AD has noticeably regressed since 2020 but instead of criticize him for it you just sit here and talk LeBron nonstop
