What Lue is doing with the Clippers this year without Kawhi and PG is amazing his ability to make adjustments on the fly is fantastic and he brings the best out of the players he coaches

Same with Spo I would actually argue that they're the two best coaches in the league right now

Truth. Same with teammates. A lot of teams without loaded lineups are playing better than the Lakers. Cavs, raptors, wolves, clips, grizzlies, mavs.. Lebron has had some of the best teammate over the years that for some reason diminish while playing with him. This has been a recurring pattern with Lebron ship jumping throughout his career. And yet, it is everyone that needs to be fired.

When will we stop making excuses for bron and call him what he is: an overrated chucker

fun fact: lebron wanted lue in la but the lakers front office wouldn't sign him past two seasons and demanded they pick his assistant coaches.

one example on a long list of the lakers fo trying to prove they run the show and not listening to the man who is the only reason they're still relevant.

Im so nba'd out

Im starting to think that the laker's management ppl are just kobe stans trying to destroy this man's legacy...you know wtf you signed up for when u signed lebron...He's picking the groceries. They have be undermining him since day one.

Trading Zubac for nothing
Refusing to hire a good coach that lebron trusted
not moving westbrook
not resigning dwight or mcgee after the championship
letting caruso walk for no reason
ect im sure its more if i really thought it about

Maybe someone else has mentioned this as I didn't read through all the replies yet, but Erik Spoelstra is one of 75th Anniversary Top 15 coaches while having Pat Riley in the front office as well.

Spoelstra, Pat Riley, Wade and Bosh on your team, that means a winning finals record right? Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 8?

Well yeah, Lebron’s former coaches are having some success NOW, but where do you think they learned about success from?? Bc they sure didnt have none before LeSuccess.

And how many chips they both got without LeChips?

3ba11 has been making the same argument about Phil Jackson not winning anything til he got with Jordan. You guys don't let him have that, you don't get to have this.

Phil had peak Shaq and Kobe for his other rings. He's had more talent than any other coach ever and used somebody else's system ~ Tex Winter. There are many coaches who were better strategists than Phil Jackson.

Yea, and the second he left the Lakers in 2004 they went from Finals contenders to lottery

phil won with multiple supporting casts. two different ones in chicago and two different ones in la. none of those stars won before him. and only shaq won after him in a reduced role.

Well, it sucks that kong unanimously chose the lakers as his third team bt and is still there rn because imho, that's really kobe's even after he retired. Even after that calabasas crash last 2020 that prematurely axed his life and eight others. When he said he's going to carry kobe's legacy, admittedly that was so cringeworthy to the point that stephon marbury had to call him out for his foolishness.

Honestly, should've signed elsewhere, like phoenix, clippers or okc instead. But he went to LAL because it's the most popular team in the league. Too bad they're in shambles atm. Even the legend jerry west became so disappointed to learn that he's not included in the list of jeannie buss' top 5 greatest lakers of all-time.

Yet kobe never won anything without tutelage from the zenmaster, thurston. Go figure.

And in how many seasons during Kobe's prime was Phil not the HC? The 1 season after the Lakers blew it up and had multiple HCs with Rudy T retiring (Lakers were 24 - 19 with him) on top of Kobe's & Odom's injuries in '05? They were still one of the top seeds and made the 2nd round without Phil in 2012, and that's with the Lakers trading Odom (after a 6MOY season no less) for a trade exception.

It's like making the Pippen argument for MJ. You can do this with any ATG who stayed with one franchise and played under the same coach or with the same star teammate for a long time.

you can say he never had much of an injury issue since he didn't have any bad coaches. but based on reaction time, he won 4 FMVPs with 3 different coaches, meaning 3 separate fully documented playbook all went through him.

I question anyone’s IQ if they don’t think Vogel is a bad coach. Spoelstra and Lue are above average for NBA coaches though yes.

Pacers overachieved under him, considering they took the Heatles to 6-7 games for a 3-year stretch without really having that good of a team with them losing Granger to injury after the lockout season. I wouldn't call him a bad coach.

Not the USHERS! I love going to Laker games and seeing the women walk around. I can see him saying that if Usher was performing at halftime or something.... but not the USHERS.
