.
Heading into their first playoff games:

* Jordan had a 1st-year low seed in a conference that required super-teams to win

* Lebron had a 3rd-year high seed in a conference that 1-star teams mostly won from 01-09'

When they were both 21-23 years old, Jordan averaged 36/6/7 (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jordami01.html#1985-1987-sum:playoffs_per_game) in the 85-87' Playoffs, compared to 28/8/7 (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesle01.html#2006-2008-sum:playoffs_per_game) for Lebron from 06-08' - unfortunately, Jordan's superior stats carried a 1st year cast in a much tougher conference, while Lebron's weaker stats helped a 3rd year, veteran cast (high seed) in a weak conference.

Against a championship team and #1 defense, 23-year Jordan averaged 44 on 50% against the 86' Celtics, compared to 26 on 36% for Lebron against the 08' Celtics, and the same against the 07' Spurs..

Finally, the weakest team that Jordan ever lost to was the 85' Bucks, who were #1 SRS and won 59 games, while also losing to the dynasty Celtics and Pistons or the Shaq/Penny Magic in the baseball year - so Jordan would not have lost to the 07' Pistons, who compared to the 89' Knicks that Jordan upset easily with a low seed of role players.

Im so nba'd out

Ok we see 1-9 clearly bothers you so we will retire it.

* with an 8 seed

* against a goat dynasty 1 seed

* as a player in their first few years, when no one wins playoff series like Durant, Lebron, Curry or Giannis... i.e. if the only knock on Jordan's career is that he lost when everyone else lost, then it isn't a knock at all

* while averaging 40 ppg and getting called "god" by the opponent

Just trying to be fair, 1-9 is a BS argument.

Game 3 vs Boston in '87 was just a piss poor performance from MJ.

Bulls had a nice lead vs Boston entering the 4th Q, Celtics were without McHale.

MJ proceeds to clank every shot that quarter while Bird turned on the jets hitting clutch shot after clutch shot

Bird: 32/14/6 on 52 fg%
MJ: 30/11/7 on 30 fg%

Jordan's low efficiency is from facing maximum defensive attention (carrying scoring load)

Only Jordan had to defeat maximum defensive attention for his entire career... Everyone else in history had equal-scoring partners to attract equal defensive attention for various playoff runs, so they had many periods without facing maximum defensive attention - any period without facing maximum defensive attention is inflated stats compared to Jordan, who carried the scoring load in every SERIES, let alone playoff run..

Jordan averaged 10-30 ppg more than his teammates in every series, while everyone else had teammates match or exceed them for entire playoff runs

Unfortunately for you, there is actually footage of MJ missing easy shots with one guy one him from that same game.

If not for the struggles against Boston and Detroit, there probably isn't the psycho win-at-all-costs Jordan and there definitely is not a 6-0 1990's Chicago Bulls. Just like Detroit before them who had to learn how to get past Boston, Chicago had to toughen up and and learn to beat Detroit.

I say the same thing about my 1985 Chicago Bears, losing to Miami on Monday Night was the best thing to happen to the Bears on the way to the Championship. A little adversity never hurt anyone.

Exactly, and the Bulls didn't just beat the Pistons - they LEARNED HOW to beat them by developing a better brand of finesse basketball that could beat the Pistons' physical brand...

So the Bulls' superior brand stopped the Pistons from ever being competitive again - and that's what organic teams and brands do - there's an evolution of increasingly superior brands of ball.

Otoh, today's game has ended the evolution of brand of ball and relies on talent-based winning (colluding... all-star team strategy)

Bird was a better version of Jokic on both sides of the ball, but Jordan would never have lost with McHale/Parish/DJ like Bird did in 88' - MJ beat the Pistons with far less

Nearly every rookie or sophomore like Durant, Lebron, Giannis or Curry didn't win any playoff series, so losing as a young player isn't a "thing".. It would only be a "thing" for goat-haters who can't find anything legitimate to knock him for

When Jordan had 3 healthy seasons to develop his team (88'), he made the 2nd Round just like 06' Lebron.. The difference is that Jordan had a low seed of undecorated rookies in a conference that required a super-team to win, while Lebron had a high seed of decorated veterans in a conference that 1-star teams mostly won

You may be right. But remember injuries started to hit the Celtics and parish and DJ were getting older.
