My m8 is. He's a through-and-through fan.

I don't give a **** about the Spurs anymore and haven't in a while. Pop is annoying, losing his ability as a coach, and has needed to retire for a while now. I wouldn't call myself a fairweather fan - the team doesn't need to be good for me to watch and root for them - but I'm not going to bother with teams outright trying to suck and who go to lengths to rid themselves of their best and most unselfish players. Getting rid of White and perma-benching Thad Young (as if vets can't help young players win) were just the most recent blunders in a long list that prevent me from giving a shit about them anymore. They are never again going to have the identity that I appreciated. It lived a few years past the Big 3 era but has since died a brutal death. :lol

I love the game in general and watch any team worthy of attention, and root for the ones that play the whole game, play smart and play hard.

I'm not surprised, I remember you slurping Kawhi when he won in 2019 despite how he left and embarassed the Spurs and I remember you laughing at Bron haters in 2020 when the Lakers won and now shit on LeBron because the Lakers suck. You are the ultimate fair-weather fan.

In any case, one of the reasons why you don't like me is because I told you years ago that the Spurs would suck in the near future, instead of holding this petty grudge against me for years cause I said that, you should have just listened because ultimately I was right.

Lifelong Spurs fan, not sure who the biggest fan here is anymore though. Not much to talk about regarding the team. Hard disagree with Proctor on our direction. I like where we're headed, just wish we'd tank harder, but hard to ask young guys to throw games on purpose. The Derrick White trade was great for both teams in that his value was not going to get higher and the danger of him getting injured again was extremely high. Happy to see him successful in Boston though and really hope he stays healthy and confident.

Agree T. Young was mishandled, but if I recall correctly, they sat him to lower his overall contract hit for potential trade suitors and that worked out really well in the Toronto deal.

Small markets have to play things very carefully when their playoff window closes lest they become Orlando or Minnesota. The Spurs getting f'd over by the Knicks and Morris a few years back really set them back, especially since signing Demarre Carroll to a turrible deal and losing Davis Bertans happened as a result.

There have been ups and downs. Murray drafted at the 29th slot is a badass. Poetl's a fn steal on his contract and is the best rim defender we've had since Duncan. He's also developing a solid pick n roll game with Murray. Primo shows flashes that remind me of Manu's ability to turn games very quickly. Overall, the team is extremely young and runs and plays hard which is enough to make me happy after the years of success we had.

Above all, moving on from DeRozan was the best thing this team has done in about 3-4 years, because he's a good enough player to excel during relatively meaningless, regular season games, but when it's time to really grind in the playoffs he cracks.
