Criminal charges were dropped. So he won't be going to jail. There's still the 20+ civil lawsuits. It's a lot easier to obtain a guilty verdict in a civil suit than in a criminal suit.

Yup. Tbh I didnt even know he was facing criminal charges. I thought it was just about civil suits in the first place.

Same. So pretty much nothing has changed then. He was obviously never going to face criminal charges. I don’t even really think they have much of a civil case. Some lawyer dug up 20 shady massage parlor chicks and filed as many lawsuits as he could. Even if individually the cases are all weak, the sum of them all being filed together creates a perception of guilt. When someone gets sued 20 times for something you almost assume that he’s guilty, but when you figure it’s sued 20 times by the same lawyer under shady circumstances, it is different. Most people don’t have that info or don’t care though. This whole thing was orchestrated not to win a legitimate case in court, but to create a huge PR disaster for both Watson and the league and basically hold them hostage until they get a paid off by a settlement out of court.

The whole situation is disgusting.

You know damn well that if it was one of our kind, or one of the Caucasian kind, we'd be doing time right now. Right now in America, if you are the preferred skin color, you can get away with murder.

Your "fax" are from a Spike Lee movie. Not based in reality.

Also, White people don't tend to have lengthy rap sheets. However, there is an exception in NYC right now. You can be a criminal of any color, and you can smear your own shit on someone's face, or push someone down a flight of stairs, or even shoot at a cop, and you'll be out on the streets the next day for sure.

Historically blacks have always had it better with the police because of their skin color.

Poopsie when he has too much time on his hands.

Black privilege

No, it's called rich celebrity privilege. Just ask OJ Simpson.

Celebrity rules everything in 'Murica.
