Do y’all actually believe players like KD, Curry, Kobe, Lebron etc. wouldn’t get double teamed during the clutch in a Finals game? Jordan got a 1 vs 1 in a Finals game with a few seconds to go to win the ‘98 title.

On the video, you can even see Scottie Pippen yelling “get to the 3 point line!” to Dennis Rodman (a guy that doesn’t even attempt 3s) so the defender had to follow him (you had to stay with your man back then) which basically lead to an clearer path for the Jordan drive. The players I mentioned would eaaaat going 1 vs 1!

Lebron rarely ever gets blitzed or doubled outside. I remember in 2018 Finals game 1 the biggest possession of the game the warriors let LeBron go single coverage vs curry of all people at top of the key.

MJ also got double and triple teamed all the time most notably the Bad boys who blitzed him more than anybody ever. Don't put LeBron in the same category of "needing a double" as MJ, Durant, and Kobe. In Game 7 of the historic 2010 Finals the Celtics chose to blitz Kobe 25 feet from the hoop with Sheed and Ray Allen which is what gave Artest his iconic dagger 3 or make.

That's not a double. LeBron couldve taken 1 or 2 dribbles and pulled up outside if he wanted to over a guy he's a foot taller than. Dray and Durant didn't move towards him.

They’re clogging the lane aka “helping”.. which would be illegal in the ‘90s.

I didn’t say that was a double team.

Lebron was afraid to shoot over Steph Curry at the end of the game single coverage.
