ESPN just ranked him 53rd on the top 75 list, behind even Reggie who was never considered better than prime Drexler when they were in the league together.

I hsve no idea. The guy had more than 10 seasons with high averages in points, assist, rebounds and steals. Also led his team to the finals twice. I dont get it

Drexler was on the original Dream Team so he wasn't that disrespected.

I think part of the reaction to Kennys picks is that his previous 3 picks were Magic/Dr J/Jerry West then he added Drexler to that mix. Those four seem like an odd fit. His first pick was Kareem. So he used up 5 picks without taking a power forward.

Yea he was way better than Reggie.

I think he’s one of the more underrated players ever but he was kind of dumb and soft.

I remember years ago, Kenny told a story on Inside the NBA about how when they were in the playoffs, they were in a close game in the 4th, a player from Houston got fouled to go to the line and Drexler went up to that teammate and said "You know if you miss these free throws we lose the game". Kenny had a "wtf" reaction.

Like why would you tell you teammate that in that situation? He literally tried to ice him. :lol

Probably because of who was still on the board.

In the 2nd vid, nobody said anything when Worthy got picked before Drexler did. And I'm certain Drexler is usually regarded as the greater player.

Wouldn’t have taken him for that type of guy. To me he seems like a happy-go-lucky dumb dumb who just wasn’t really an alpha. But an excellent basketball player.

Maybe I need to watch more of him. I remember him talking about Bird and he emasculated himself in that conversation.

Clyde is a legend. Led two teams to the Finals and also averaged 22/10/7 when he swept Shaq in '95 Finals. Also came back from down 1 - 3 against Barkley.

Yea not understanding the overrated-ness talks. If anything he’s the most under appreciated. He’s a fringe top 5 shooting guard ever.

Because everyone has too much respect for Jerry West to question his draft.

Nobody also said anything when he picked Kobe over MJ, Lebron, and Kareem. And those 3 are usually regarded as greater than Kobe.

West also made it clear he was trying to draft all Lakers.

It was Barkley who picked Worthy in the 2nd vid. Not West.

Because he didn’t get to face injured Magic, injured Bird, and a young ass Jordan Bulls team while having a roster with like 10 starters worth of talent, with a bad ankle for a few games

Clyde was never considered cool (personality wise.) Somewhat corny (even though he was raised in a rough part of Houston.) Like David Robinson. Joe Dumars. Nice guys.

Jerry loved Kobe and I'll be frank I think Jerry's team was the best team. He got both of his team-mates (Baylor and Wilt) and he paired them with the best pure PG in the game (Stockton) one of the most veristile and best defensive PF's (Barkley) and the 2nd best SG (Kobe). You also have coming off the bench two very strong bigs (Thurmond and Robinson) and two very strong scorers (Havlicek and Carmello).

SG - Kobe, Havlicek
PG - Stockton, Sharmann
PF - Barkley, Thurmond
SF - Baylor, Carmello
C - Wilt, Robinson
