:oldlol:... I guess I walked into that one

Prime Jordan had elite jumpshooting skill and volume that got hot every game (required perimeter double-teams), but he also required a "wall" to stop his rim attack, similar to Giannis

So Jordan's rim attack and paint game separates himself from Durant, while his playoff scoring separated himself from Wilt

OP cried when KD got eliminated last year then pretended to be cheering for Giannis all along.

KD's organic chip in 2012 was ruined by Lebron's "decision" to form super-teams

So of course he returned the favor in 2017 - one good collusion deserves another .. :confusedshrug:

if 1 guy colludes or juices, then everyone must join in, otherwise that's pretty unfair, don't you think

Btw, compare Durant's current caliber to 33-year Pippen's - Pippen was simply propped up by the triangle and organic dynasty - he was otherwise a 14 ppg dunker that couldn't score

^^^ the handle aspect of this play is actually a little harder than it looks and requires top-level sophistication in the handle, which means above the Deron-Williams side-to-side cadence circa 2006

This matters because a guy like Kuminga has a more Deron-Williams handle (less sophistication) than KD or Jordan Poole, who can sneak by defenders and get to spots with timed cadence.. Nash was great at this too

The worst 50 point game of the season by far, 37 shots 4-13 from beyond the arc :oldlol:

He had to defeat maximum defensive attention (carry the scoring load) - he didn't have other threats to shoulder some of the defensive attention

You saw him make those shots over double-teams like he's Jordan - he was facing that Jordan-level maximum defensive attention (Jordan faced max defensive attention in every series because he's the only guy that carried the scoring load in every series, while everyone else in history had equal-scoring partners for entire playoff runs).

Don't forget the 5 turnovers.

I agree that he's the best current player in the game. Giannis is his only competition right now.

I think Jokic should be in the discussion too. Embiid as well.

Not Embiid, I mean EmSoft - he don't really want the smoke

Multiple guys putting up 50 each week, in the modern game.

50 is the new 35

Of that group he'd be 4th, but his season is simply too ridiculous not to be included in the discussion imo. He has the opportunity to make a huge statement tomorrow against Jokic in a game that will have significant MVP implications.

That's fair. Jokic too. I have Embiid slightly below them though.
