Even when Kawhi's scoring got into the mid-high 20's he rarely goes out of pocket in terms of shot attempts. Tends to stay within the offense and scoring in the 30's is probably his version of shotjacking( maybe 40's in 2023 because 30 points isn't anything to brag about in today's league. We don't even bat an eye at 40 TBH).

For the same reason Durant's career high is 'only' 55. There's alot of generally worse scorers who've scored more than that, just this season alone.

Kawhi utilizes the mid range a lot more. He doesn't take as many 3s as a guy like, say, Tatum.
