The organization wanted to keep Caruso and sign DeRozan (in retrospect this looks fantastic), but LeGM based all his team-building (read: team-damaging) decisions on the rosters of the various USA Olympic squads he played on. It’s adorably stupid and so MF fun to watch it self-destruct in front of these LA fans (many which don’t actually know the game, but are guilty of the same “overvaluing fame” that LeGM seems to be guilty of when constructing dream team rosters)
