Just the other day, I saw a couple stores in a rich area of Los Angeles selling expired food at a discount. The other month, I bought a couple items that had expiration labels one week out, but when I went home and ate the perishable items, they were all expired.
Apparently, grocery stores are joe biden'ing us all by pushing back the expiration dates on food.

For produce, we go for items that are appropriately ripe based on when we think it will be consumed. But consumers can only go by the information provided at the point of purchase, without knowing the product’s history before it reached the store.
