apparently trump would take an aggressive and threatening nuclear stance against putin. nuclear escalation would be the name of the game, if he were in office.

Guy is a nutcase :lol
First, he started defending Russia. He got backlash for it so now he swings far the other way, saying he would send nuclear subs to Russia & escalate things. :facepalm
I think he just plays up to the media to stay relevant. Nobody truly knows where he stands or what he believes because he is just playing to whatever tune brings him attention. He is an opportunist just like Lindsay Graham.
If you go by his actions though as president, he is obviously very much pro-Putin.

i disagree, in terms of policy.
-trump didn't allow the nordstream 2 pipeline, which is something russia obviously wanted. biden btw allowed it (up until a month ago for obvious reasons).
-trump armed ukraine.
-trump continued nato exercises on russia's border (an action carried over from past administrations).
these are just a few points, maybe there's more.
...and btw... isn't it a bit ironic in terms of what the left/media would say - if putin had invaded ukraine while trump were in office, that would have been called evidence of trump being putin's puppet. but when putin DOESN'T invade ukraine under trump, well then that shows eviddece of trump being putin's puppet. :confusedshrug:

How about constantly threatening to pull out of NATO? Or defending Putin over our own intelligence agencies (It was in front of Putin in Helsinki concerning Russian interference in elections IIRC)? Or asking Russia as a presidential candidate to hack DNC emails? Or essentially taking a hammer to the relationships with all our allies? Or trying to scam Ukraine to undermine things (the impeachment)? Or lying about the meetings concerning Trump tower in Moscow?
He is an opportunist who serves his own interests. And he looks up to authoritarians like Putin/Xi/Kim/etc.

Because Russkies are still a threat. Not Cold War level but still a threat. NATO is all that stands in the way.
Yes, Russia tried to interfere in US election in 2016, 2018, and 2020 through state-driven propaganda. Russia also tried to screw around in the French election and Germany's elections. That ship has not sailed and is still relevant to not just us but our closest allies.

I watched the interview earlier. I don't agree with Trump, it's going too much with the narrative, but I understand what he's trying to do. Most Americans feel that Putin would have not invaded Ukraine if Trump was President. While Biden announces to Putin that he wouldn't intervene. Trump understand that he has to keep up, maintain that image of you don't want to mess with the United States. He's very prophylactic.

Why on earth would Trump or anyone else trust intelligence agencies that lie about literally everything?
Remember when 17 intelligence agencies claimed that Trump colluded with Russia to win an election (and then were unable to prove this claim with a year+ investigation)?
Remember when ~50 Intelligence officials claimed that Hunters laptop was Russian disinformation just before the 2020 election (turns out it was 100% legit)?
Remember when the intelligence community claimed that Assad was using chemical weapons on his own people (he didnt)?
Remember when the intelligence agencies said that Saddam was collecting WMDs (he wasnt)?

So now we are to believe a former kgb colonel instead who has had it in for America since the Soviet union days and longs for those days? Are you that big of a moron that you would actually defend that?
Trump did not have to answer the question. He could have completely swerved past the question instead of trashing our own intelligence agencies (which he was the president over) in front of Putin. You could see a little smirk on Putin's face while Trump made a joke out of our intelligence agencies. They also ran it as propaganda in Russia (look here, even the American president questions their own agencies!!)
And the question was concerning Russia trying to meddle in our election. Just because we have meddled in other countries' elections in the past doesn't mean it's right. We should not have and neither should Russia. Russia tried to meddle not just in our election but the French and German elections. Anyone with any modicum of intelligence would call it out each and every time anyone does it. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Its not Trumps fault that US intelligence agencies did everything in their power to ruins Trumps presidency and rig the 2020 election... If our intel agencies dont want to be treated as a joke they should stop acting like they are jokes.

The dems spent millions of dollars and ~1.5 years attempting to prove that Russia meddled in our election, and they found zero evidence whatsoever. Then, in 2020 the Dems and their allies in Intel and the Media dramatically influenced the election by claiming that Hunters laptop was Russian disinfo and refusing to talk about it (other than dismissing it). Any action taken by russia (remind me, what did they do exactly?) pales in comparison to the total media and social media blackout of Hunters laptop.

They didn't rig the 2020 election. Trump lost - get over it. You will be stuck down the rabbit hole while life goes on around you.
Russia meddled in our election not just in 2016 but also 2018/2020 & will probably be back in future elections if they have money left after the heavy sanctions over Ukraine war. The question was concerning whether Trump was involved (question of collusion), and they were unable to prove collusion. You are clueless about what the investigation was even concerning.
Anyways, US government made every penny back thanks to Trump's campaign manager Manafort's frauds & money laundering coming into light.

I feel sorry for Trump.
He wanted to be the good guy , by coddling Putin , so that his supremacy was in take , and Trump's followers was to think
I need someone to follow in my hate of the government.
He was elected out of office , and because of their strong will of needing a leader , called it out as a rigged vote... but of course
Trumps nomination was not rigged 'right?'.
So now after the Jan 6th rally debacle , where the leader was supposed to march them to the capital , but didn't and he continued to
call out Pence, his republican constituents separated themselves from Trump.
But as soon as Pelosi was going to condemn him for his failed take over , the republicans deemed him not guilt.
Trump by now had to be totally confused , and you had to feel for him.
(Once telling his followers you all are horses "trojans" take Ivermectin ... after he failed to get the vote for a 2nd term , he tacked
away from it , and said the cvd19 vaccine was appropriate.
Now he is acting like a 'true' politician... saying one thing and do another.
Trump and Putin are the best of friends , Trump used him as a role model : See Frontline : Putin's way
But because of the Ukraine war Trumps current tack is to state: " Putin should not of done it"

If you honestly don't think US nuclear subs have been patrolling the Arctic circle off Russian borders since the USSR dissolved, I don't know what to tell you. Even Russia's newest, most advanced nuclear subs are miles behind ours. They're still trying to refit old Soviet hulks that were built in the 1970s-1980s just to have something out there and our guys can hear them coming from miles away.

Our nuclear subs, specifically the ones that carry nuclear missiles (they are called "boomers") are probably what you are referring to. They are pretty much unknown where they are at any time and one of the closest guarded secrets in the entire military. Once every few years, they do a public port call, but it's very very rare. I think public port calls have been done a couple of times in the past decade so it's an extremely rare observation. Last I recall was in the Philippines couple years ago. These subs are the best of all of the nuclear subs and pitch silent.
No other country has anything close to the boomers afaik. USA does not even sell them to anyone so nobody knows much about them outside of the folks who work on them.

I love you patty, but I have to call you out for this catastrophically idiotic post.
How exactly did the last few weeks show that Russias military is not what we thought it was? Keep in mind that the US just spent 20 years in Afghanistan, accomplished absolutely nothing (aside from growing lots of poppies), and then ran away with the Taliban nipping at our heels.
Anyway, if the US gets into a nuclear exchange with Russia it will potentially result in the extinction of humanity... the best case scenario is that humans would survive but be essentially reset to the stone age. Not only does Russia have a dozen subs that each carry ~16 MIRV missiles (each missile has ~10 nuclear warheads, so a single sub can nuke ~160 targets), but they also have an unknown number of Poseidon nuclear drones... a single one of these drones could potentially wipe out the east coast from DC to Boston and render the land uninhabitable for centuries.

Keep yelling "conspiracy" at everything - people will eventually stop taking you seriously because it becomes predictable when you yell conspiracy in both election wins (2016) and election losses (2020).

wtf are you talking about? Who are the soft conservatvies and who are the strong right wingers? Does the fact that the modern democrat party is a comical trainwreck of ineptitude improve the chances of conservatives, or does it hurt them?

He misspelled a word by swapping two letters that are next to each other in the word. The rest of his post is coherent and legible.
On the other hand, nothing you write is coherent or legible. You're out of your league, gramps. And I will not allow you to speak this way to my friend. You have been warned.

Pretends to be in his late 60s but acts like a complete idiot.
There is a tactic in the military called escalate to deescalate.

Speaking of fitting through doorways, I'm not the one living at home, crippled, and in a wheelchair.

Thats a dumb comment, those subs can strike Russia just as easily from 500 miles away as they can from the coast line
I was stationed on an SSBN and worked on the Fire Control System for C4 Trident missile. They could strike in access of 4,000 miles, longer today.

Our SLBM's can strike Russia from the Atlantic. We don't have to be at their border.

Yes, they are called "Boomers." For the last 30 years our SSBN fleet has been comprised of the Ohio class submarine, each capable of carrying 24 missiles each with up to 8 MIRV's. I was stationed on an older Lafayette class SSBN, USS Stonewall Jackson SSBN 634-Gold. Before 9-11 it was not uncommon for us to make port calls (I can't speak for today as I got out before 9-11). But when I was in we pulled into Cocoa Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. But to your point, their purpose is to go out to sea for two months to cover alert target packages and not make port calls.
SSBN's are given patrol areas in which they operate in. Captains were allowed to go anywhere they wanted within those patrol areas but no one on the outside knew exactly where we were. You are right, our "boats" are the best in the world and are extremely quiet.

So with that being said, you still think the United States gets nuked to oblivion if we strike Russia first?
Yes, we both get nuked to oblivion. It's called "Mutually Assured Destruction." There are no winners in an all-out exchange. The moment one side launches then the other will do the same. If you want to see a good representation of this, look for a movie called the "Day After" from 1983. It'll scare ya. British came out with their version called "Threads" in 1984.

there is no first strike, only nuclear exchange.
That's correct.
