It's all slowly coming to an end. First the end to the mask mandates, it doesn't seem that the 4th shot will get approved, and now Kyrie can play home games. I hope Blade is ok. He can always travel to Israel to get another booster shot. Or try to illegally get his 12th booster in the black market. There are still people out there willing to pay for him to take the shot for them.

I never really cared for Kyrie Irving, but he has really impressed me with this saga. Refusing to submit to this BS.

The Mayor made "NYC pro-athletes" an exception to his Trump Vaccine mandate. Anyone know which RCT/science this is based on?

A lot of pro athletes who caved probably wish now that they held firm. Like many in the general population.

In October, Kyrie Irving said he refused to get vaccinated b/c he was “standing with all those that believe what is right” and took issue w/ the notion of Americans “losing jobs to mandates.”

If this new NYC exemption is only for athletes/entertainers will Kyrie refuse to play?

It's a good point. If it's about the principle, Kyrie should not play until everyone in NYC is eligible. Right? Unless if he believes he is exempt because he is special as an athlete/entertainer. And that would be wrong, right?

Conflict of interest since Nets and NBA want him to play. The players have power but are still bound by the contracts.

He could choose to sit without pay in solidarity with the rest of NY “resisters”, the Nets would not sue him over that. The publicity would be terrible.

Im sure he wont... but he could.

It is pretty funny watching so many different kinds of virtue signaling fools get exposed. Idiots who couldnt see it was all politics from the start (you and blade), athletes who accept celebrity privilege so they can go join the playoffs, politicians who are getting called out by the same athletes they had under thumb with the BLM narrative etc.

It’s all what makes life... life.

I thought the same when Musk was gonna disobey the lockdowns out here in California and open back up. Was he gonna start a movement of mass protest standing up for small businesses helping them open back up too or just be out for himself?
