View Full Version : Is the word RUSSIAN now cancelled?

I was at a bar that had a Russian imperial Stout. They dropped the word Russian from the menu. I asked why and it's because people protested the beer because Russian is in the name?

It's a style of beer? How does that support Russia? So we're supposed to ostracize Russians because we don't agree with the war?

I don't care what your views are but canceling the word Russian is beyond ignorant.

Wikipedia and other websites are removing russian flags from people's name where it would show the flag of their nation. It's just white.

It's beyond retarded.

There is no meaning, no sense.

It's just a way people are showing support for a cause.

It's like when people honk. Or wear pink.

Unless they are driving a truck... in that case honking is basically the same as saying Heil Hitler

But honestly this is just the way it goes, and probably will always go. Ya cant change human nature at the top, nor human nature everywhere else.

The world is never gonna be what we instinctively idealize it as. In the end there is little choice but to accept, adapt, and see the opportunity.

If youre in a game of Mario Kart, youre not gonna have an easy time trying to play Zelda.

You gotta play the game youre in.

doesn't seem like the same

honking or wearing pink is doing something.

not removing something that doesnt relate.

It's simple. The customers won't want to be paying for a product that is associated with Russia.

Conservative restaurants were serving Freedom Fries because France was against the Iraqi invasion. But really who cares? Menu labels are actually less important than college swimming. At some point people need to stop stressing over the stupid shit.

If you guys want to talk about stuff that matters I think Fultz has a blog somewhere.

Why? What does Russian military have to do with the people? You really need to separate the people from the politics.

Wrong.

Bitcoin fixes all of this, as it will unquestionably diminish the power of those at the top.

Now, it's extremely likely we don't live to see it... but they're all going to get choked out.

Exactly. Most Americans now know that the war on terror fear mongering was bullshit and just an excuse to defend the petro dollar and secure resources in the middle east. But back then A lot of people believed the lie.

Just because somebody is Russian doesn't mean they support a Ukraine invasion the same way just because someone is American doesn't mean they support all the bullshit the scumbag American leaders have done.

If you’re perpetually pumping bitcoin bc you’re invested in it, I completely understand.

If you truly, honestly BELIEVE bitcoin is gonna simply fix everything, you should come have a chat with me at Patreon.com/tofp.

Im not “anti bitcoin” by any means. But I think there are nuances you may want to consider more deeply if youre gonna go all-in on it financially and philosophically.

Indeed.

Why is chess considered a smart people game? Bc the whole game is about seeing ahead. Seeing the consequences farther in advance of your opponent.

This is exactly why the worlds richest CEOs and investors are where they are. Bc thats what they do. They look ahead while most people sit and watch tik tok.

Theyre already figuring out if bitcoin is a threat to their interests or not, and will move accordingly. Long before most of the public has bought an iota of it. If they want to snuff it out before theres a critical mass of people who will care enough to fight over it... they will.

Seeing, planning, evaluating the future is such an enormous key to success. It’s astonishing how many people just dont seem to take an interest in it.

Its a suckers lifestyle.

This goes beyond the worlds richest CEOs and investors. The only thing that really matters is that bitcoin is a huge threat to the central banks, and the central banks are the most powerful institutions on the planet BY FAR. The amount of wealth controlled by these private banks is orders of magnitude greater than any publicly known CEO or investor.

Sure, but Im speaking more generally about economic mobility. Being among the first-to-know makes all the difference. Especially if you have the resources to prepare/adapt appropriately.

fair enough! I dont own any crypto, but if I did I would be selling for sure.

IMHO the market is due for a huge correction, and what you want to own right now is physical gold/silver and stocks in companies that provide necessities like petroleum and food

Yep, those things can be very useful in certain market conditions, some of which we may be incurring sooner than later. Tho I think that’s difficult to say with certainty.

Two things that are always valuable, in any society, under any condition: Connections and information.

Those things are simply... everything.

I dunno exactly when the collapse will happen, but theres no question that this country has been teetering on the edge of a recession for years. Thanks to quantitative easing (aka money printing for the big banks) we have been able to prop up the stock market long past its due date for a major correction... but eventually reality will catch up with the simulations.

Perhaps. Tho one could argue we’ve been overdue for this paradigm-shifting correction since shortly after the stock market was established some century ago or whenever it was. Yet instead weve just continually adapted, progressed, and grown, largely on the strength of mass uninterest in understanding or sticking to principles. For the most part the public PREFERS to subordinate and “go with the flow.”

Maybe there is a finite expiration on that, or maybe it’s something that will continue to be harnessed, albeit in more contrived and belligerent ways than ever.

That I dont know. But that’s the kind of thing I like to discuss and figure out. But to me theres no sense in broadcasting whatever conclusions we may reach to every Tom, Dick and Harry sitting there lurking. Why? What does Russian military have to do with the people? You really need to separate the people from the politics.

When a consumer sees "Russia" in the products name, they assume buying the product means some of the profits are going to Russia.

That's just my assumption on why the business decided to remove "Russia" from the name.

The "freedom fry" meme lasted for a week or two, because the conservatives who did this were relentlessly mocked by the left over this (this was back in the days when the left actually pretended to be anti-war)... and libtards like you who try to cancel the word Russia deserve to be mocked and will be remembered by history as being just as fvcking retarded as the neocons were.

Anyway, considering the fact that most of the prominent "freedom fry" neo-cons from the 2000s are now democrats, I suppose its no surprise that the dems are using the same PR strategy that the Bush admin used to increase support for their bullshit wars.
