…..on a jumbotron.
^
Kanye on what I’d call his last good album making a good point on a song Rick Ross totally stole from him with track presence and a very generous mid song intro*
Kanye obviously failed to stay humble and essentially lost his mind with the fame and fortune.
Who among all superstars stars would you say beat the odds and actually remained humble?
Not “I’m so humbled” Lebron bullshitting every time he breaks a record humble. Real life humble.
I think my all humble first team would be:
Nash
Tim Duncan
Bill Walton
But I don’t have any wings. Who you got for me? Wings don’t tend to stay humble.

Kanye showed a little uncharacteristic unselfishness there. You can’t get on my song….have a minute long guitar solo/piano intro to your section….speak that lavishly…shoot a video just for your section without acknowledging I was even involved….and melt away behind the curtain at the end.
I couldn’t allow it.

Duncan is the obvious choice. Dirk & Robinson come to mind too.
For wings, you're right, that's a tough choice :lol
I'd prob go Manu & Grant Hill

Dirk And Robinson wouldn’t get any argument from me. Walton is just hard to knock off for me because every time he talks it’s as if he literally thinks he was average and everybody around him lifted him up and all the opposing stars deserved to beat him. He goes and has legendary performances and talks about nothing but how his teammates are the only reason they even stayed close because *insert any 70s star* was god on earth and way better than him.

Joe Dumars probably not considered a super star but he was vital to the Detroit championship teams and always quiet/humble. Kareem wasn’t a bragadacious type dude, typically quiet. John Stockton. Clyde Drexler. Not a superstar but an all star, Glenn “big dog” Robinson. Which also leads me to Miwaukee Ray Allen.

I actually You might have to start Bob Cousy and put Nash at the two. All Cousy has been saying for 50 years is how everyone is better than he was. He was saying in the 70s that every guard was doing things he never could but people got bent out of shape when I said it.

I can accept Dumars. The anti humble list is also hard now that I think about it but because of the opposite problem….too many options.
Jordan and Lebron take the 2 and 3 with Kobe a tough matchup for MJ. Who else?
Shaq or Wilt?
Barkley, Elvin Hayes, or who at the 4?
The point could be like 35 people. Gary Payton?

Can't go wrong with GP here, but Starbury used to say some pretty off the wall shit.:oldlol:

My anti humble team
Payton
Kobe
LeBron
Barkley
Shaq
2 spot is really competitive, you could've easily put Jordan, Iverson, Harden instead.

Know who usually wouldn’t come up but should? Chris Webber. CWebb was brash as **** but doesn’t really get that attached to him.

Barkley is a humble guy at heart. He just used to play things up for the camera. I've seen shaq take shots at his ringlessness so many times and he laughs it off. Most guys would get mad.

My Barkley ranking is primarily from his basketball career. By todays standards his antics would literally get him ejected 40 times a season and I don’t mean fighting. I mean techs for taunting and talking shit. He was….a lot.

in a 7 year window Kanye released
College Dropout
Late Registration
Graduation
808's and Heartbreak
MBDTF
Watch the Throne
And Yeezus in 2013.
6 legendary albums in a row and Yeezus was damn good.
Gorgeous is my favorite song on dark fantasy. Still on my gym playlist.

Im sure guys like Nash, Nowitzki, Robinson, probably Walton too, still have some degree of internal ego about how good they were. Even if they're the type to give others the credit publicly.
Duncan is the only guy I could see genuinely not giving a shit if anyone thought he was remotely good at basketball or not. I get the sense being an all-time great basketball player is a completely incidental part of his identity which he views more or less indifferently.

Chris Mullin seems pretty humble from what I have seen and read about him.

808s and Yeezus have a combined 2 songs I ever want to hear again and I’m not 100% sure about one of them. Amazing is the only song I’m sure I’ll play again.

Im sure everyone has some internal ego. Everyone gets excited and feels pride in accomplishment. But theirs all seems base level. Like the least you could have while being so great at something so popular and lucrative. I’d I were as good at basketball as Steve Nash I’d be more insufferable than words can convey. I appreciate how he can be that good….and not be annoying at all.
Id be outrageous. It would be…a threat to my continued existence. I’d have people out to kill me in a “He can’t keep getting away with it!” kinda way.

the whole idea of humble vs. ego, is just being part of the process vs. being out of sync.

Okay, so in other words youd be the opposite of Lebron James.
Real nice, bro.

I wouldn’t go as far as putting “Chosen one” on my back. My ego would manifest itself in a “Is he joking?” kinda bragging all the time persona some would find charming but most would hate because they would think I was serious.
