"a president's words matter"
"go back to having adults in the room".
...just a couple of the constantly repeated 2020 campaign slogans aimed at trump. now, there's an adult in the room alright. unfortunately, he's too old & confused to be running the show.
in his most recent speech, first he publicly calls for a russian regime change:
On Saturday, Biden appeared to call for regime change in Russia, declaring that Russian President Vladimir Putin "cannot remain in power."
"For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power," Biden said during the speech in front of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Poland.
then he threatens the use of chemical weapons:
On Thursday, Biden was asked if the U.S. would respond if Russia were to use chemical weapons as part of its invasion of Ukraine. Biden said that such a move by the Russians would "trigger a response in kind."
and THEN, he puts out mixed messages while speaking to us troops about advancing them into ukraine:
“You’re gonna see when you’re there, and some of you have been there... you’re gonna see women, young people, standing in front of a damn tank.” Hold on a second — are active duty US military “gonna see” these sights in Ukraine, because Biden is soon deploying them to Ukraine? How else would they see “women” and/or “young people” standing in front of a “damn tank”? There had already been plenty of US military “advisors” inside Ukraine pre-invasion, but we were told they’d been extricated. Was Biden saying that US troops were not in fact extricated from Ukraine, and more are on the way? Or was he just mumbling something that bears no relation to reality, which would not be a vastly more comforting explanation under the circumstances?
the scariest part about all of this is, biden is still miles ahead better than what's lined up next with a kamala harris commander in chief situation and that's certainly saying something.
