Who are some of the stars who peaked much higher than their prime? But not due to injury like Grant Hill. Could be due to more opportunity because the first option left or they had a massive contract year motivation or whatever.

I would consider Westbrook and Pippen to be prime examples. Also maybe...Shaq? His 99-00 season felt like it was much better than his other seasons.

Tracy mcgrady in 2003 would be the best example I think.

Steve Nash in his suns days peaked way higher then his mavs days.

Manu ginobili in 2005 playoffs peaked close to wade and kobe level. I guess his hair gave him confidence that year but he was robbed of finals mvp.

Barkley in 93 as well I would say

I would say Barkley in 1990 was better than 1993. My favorite season for him was 88-89 cause he was overweight again while being totally in his prime with fresh legs etc.

I'd argue KG's peak in 2004, but his later years in Boston were his better seasons.

Anthony Davis.

He peaked in 2020 because of LeBirdFeeder, but that’s clearly not his real level. In actuality he’s a borderline all-star at best.
