"This house is not a home — it’s a boat, and should pay property taxes as such. That’s according to the owners of an unusually shaped, 75-foot super-modern house boat anchored off Miami Beach’s Star Island. They are suing the county for hitting it with a $120,000 property tax bill, claiming that their floating mansion is not a building — but a watercraft." - NYPost.com

Good for them. Now we need middle class and poor people to start dodging their taxes too.

if the motor starts --- it's a boat.
I have a semi trailer , and as long as it has wheels the state of Wisc. can not tax me.
I store 10 full cords of wood in it.

In some countries this house/boat will be taxed twice. Once as a house, then as a boat. :lol

the owner is correct, it seems that this shaped building may have the possibility to qualify as a boat. as long as the sewer systems are in check.
