I don’t believe anyone to ever make an all star game has been proven on camera to have one.

Who would you pick to be tested if they had to get up 4 feet like that to say….get you a million dollars and themselves 10 million(for proper motivation)?

They get 1 week to prepare, are fully healthy, and at their athletic peaks.

Which actual stars in history do you take?

None of the people I’m most confident in were stars. I’m asking for all stars here so no Nate, Spud, James White, or Gerald Green to go with.

Who is your dream top 3 to get you that money?

you're encouraging drug dealers to exist when there's somehow a middle man that gets the million dollar

I actually think Giannis could do it... seen his head over the rim.

While there probably arent any who are gonna make THAT jump, I guess the closest would probably be guys like MJ, Vince, Lavine, Griffin...

Kevin Durant :yaohappy:

I think I remember reading Vince had a tested 39 inch vertical on the Hawks so….when he’s 22? Maybe.

Wiggins was waaaaay up there in a picture I had too but I don’t remember how high. 44 maybe?

Only MJ has documented 48-inch vert

In a game I’m pretty sure the standard is Gerald Green going throat level on a lob windmill. He’s one of the few we know do it without camera angle illusion or trickery. He just gets up like this:

So does James White. For all stars the highest anyone can prove is Wiggins who has a photo doing 44(though Jeramy Evans topped him at the same facility later).

Anything above that is rumor. I’ve heard Jordan’s 48 and Darrell Griffith too. And I think some trainer said Westbrook was at 45. But verified? Wiggins is the highest among stars.

The block that Ja did that keeps getting played, he had his head above the rim I think.

Vert is measured by jumping off two feet. If you can go off one foot I'm taking early cavs lebron all day.

Nate Robinson had a crazy vert at the combine. Maybe 43-44.

Back in the day David Thompson had a legit vert.

He also had a crazy horizontal when he got knocked out in that boxing match.

LOL that was pretty bad. Looked like Nate was trying to wrestle him.

Paul can fight though. Gotta have some skills to beat Woodley.

If he did 48” his nose would be at the rim, in that pic not even the top of his head is at the rim. That’s 38” to 40”

Dr. Dunkenstein had a 48 ". Would be more thought of if the Jazz hadn't started a stiff over him and if he could have palmed the ball

That’s because of height and length, not a 48” vertical.
Giannis vertical is probably 38-40”

I wonder if the elite NBA athletes have an unwritten rule where they all agree not to let the public know certain measurables. Like Garnett and Durant refusing to publicly be acknowledged as 7 ft tall. Tatum was annoyed with Brad Steven's when he revealed he was 6'10. Or the fact that we don't know anyone's vertical. I couldn't tell you the vertical of anyone on the Celtics. NBA teams measure these things and they know. We don't. I'm not upset about it at all I just figure this must be intentional.

I raised an eyebrow at the 'Tatum is 6'10' comment, then I looked up a pic between him and KD:

Probably because none of them are that tall.

I dont know why people still cannot grasp this.

Nobody in the NBA is their listed height.

Gronk is 6'6, and Kobe was listed as 6'6, yet Gronk is a clear 3 inches or so taller than Bean.

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/67/42/95/6742950af4887418ef20ed3a70d8b1f6.jpg

https://jocksandstilettojill.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/BrandonSpikes55.jpeg

Kobe is Brandon Spikes height, and Spikes was a linebacker. Aint no 6'6 linebackers.

It's like when people call Giannis a 7 footer. He is not a 7 footer. Kareem is a 7 footer.

https://hoopshabit.com/wp-content/uploads/getty-images/2018/08/1158095559.jpeg

Bald and leaning over Kareem (who's probably shrunk an inch or two by age 70) is STILL taller than the top of Giannis' hair.

I'm not sure what youre talking about with Brad Stevens calling Tatum a 6'10 guy, but that is absurd. Tatum is not close to 6'10.

Use some common sense guys.
