I gotta agree here. I guess the GM's generally play it safe by hiring experienced coaches trying to appease the dumb ass owners who have no idea and are obsessed with short term business mentality.

But hey when a GM shows some innovative and thinking outside the box trying to gain marginal advantage and long term strategies at the expense of short term money everyone turns against them when they start to change the paradigm. It's so transparent how all this has happened.
