It's stupid. Longevity is just based on if you had good enough teammates when you were old. Like kareem, he's a perfect example. He won a few rings being in a f'n wheelchair but played with magic and worthy so people add it to his resume.

All you need is 7-8 all-star selections and thats it. Kawhi in a few years should be compared to any all time great assuming you like his peak just as much.

To be fair, Kareem was still producing at a very high level into his late 30's. But he was basically a role player in his last 2 years in the NBA and by no means was he all-star level when he won his last chip.
