This is the worst single season clutch field goal percentage in nba history. Lebron is 1-12 in game tying or go ahead shot attempts in the clutch. 0-9 in 3 pt game winning attempts. You can pin 12 losses this season on LeBrick.

The worst part is he doesn’t have any shot creation ability in crunch time. All his misses come after holding the ball for 12 seconds and jacking it up from beyond the arc. LeBrick.

Westbrook would not do this and is 1-1 (100%) in game winners this season.

Anyone want to compare Jordan's clutch stats from 97' and 98' (on NBA com) to Lebron, Kobe, and Durant's career clutch numbers posted on bballref statfinder?

Or has someone already done that and have those numbers

The fact that you take obvious lies/tweets and believe them shows me how utterly retarded you are.

I don’t have to take tweets or whatever. I’m a lakers fan who watches nearly every laker game. This season, if the game is on the line and the ball goes to James I already know the outcome: Loss or overtime. Haven’t been wrong. Eye test never fails.

Your feelings are irrelevant, you believe and re-iterate obvious lies, so clearly your eye test is failing you and there's a 90% chance you're retarded.

Post Lebrons game winning shots this season.

...And yet he keeps on taking them.

And the Bronies are trying to push this narrative that he's a "pass first" guy. Please.

It's true, Lebron has had a bad season for clutch play...but every play has multiple or many seasons with bad performance in the clutch.

Over the course of Lebron's career, he has been a very good clutch player. He's just not an MJ-level clutch player...but neither is Kobe, Shaq, Durant, Duncan, etc.

Lebron is a grower and not a shower. He builds you up like something is gonna happen and then fizzles in the end. I have had many men like this and it makes me sad.

CLUTCH - Playoff shots in last 5 minutes, within 5 points, since 2001

04-19' Lebron: 134-323.. 41.4%
108 games.. 3.0 attempts per game

97-98' Jordan: 42-89.. 47.2%
25 games.. 3.6 attempts per game

SOURCE FOR LEBRON:

https://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/shot_finder.cgi?request=1&match=play&game_num_min=0&game_num_max=99&is_playoffs=Y&q4=Y&q5=Y&time_remain_minutes=5&time_remain_seconds=0&time_remain_comp=le&margin_min=-5&margin_max=5&player_id=jamesle01&order_by=date_game

SOURCE FOR JORDAN:

Jordan 1997 Playoffs (https://www.nba.com/stats/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=1996-97&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals): 20-39.. 51.3% (11 games)
Jordan 1998 Playoffs (https://www.nba.com/stats/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=1997-98&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals): 22-50.. 44.0% (14 games)

TLDR: down the stretch of tight games (last 5 minutes within 5 points), Lebron shot 41% on 3.0 attempts per game for his playoff career (04-19'), compared 47% on 3.6 attempts for old MJ in 97' and 98'.. So MJ shot much better in the clutch with far more attempts (20% bigger clutch load/attempts).

Lebron is obviously a clutch god but this season he's usually half dead by the 4th qtr. He could pace himself better on a team that wasn't decimated by injuries all season.

Disatrious clutch play and weak defense. LeBron's so-called "leadership" is worse than all that though.

why is this board still talking about this guy? The lakers are a terrible team, a team he built, and have no chance of winning a championship.

he's finally starting to be just a nothing burger so ffs let it go, it's over.

But look at his averages man. He should be in the MVP conversation! It's not his fault that his team sucks!

Great example of stats being overrated. A quick look under the hood, and you'll see the glaring flaws.

Not to mention ZERO for EIGHT in the finals for game-tying or game winning shots in the last 10 seconds. 55 finals, 0 for 8. Come to think of it, he should be called Le.40%.
40% finals winning rate, 40% Lakers winning rate this season. You idiots think this guy is even top 5? Fugg outta here...
