.
CLUTCH - Playoff shots in last 5 minutes, within 5 points, since 2001

04-19' Lebron: 134-323.. 41.4%
108 games.. 3.0 attempts per game

97-98' Jordan: 42-89.. 47.2%
25 games.. 3.6 attempts per game

SOURCE FOR LEBRON:

https://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/shot_finder.cgi?request=1&match=play&game_num_min=0&game_num_max=99&is_playoffs=Y&q4=Y&q5=Y&time_remain_minutes=5&time_remain_seconds=0&time_remain_comp=le&margin_min=-5&margin_max=5&player_id=jamesle01&order_by=date_game

SOURCE FOR JORDAN:

Jordan 1997 Playoffs (https://www.nba.com/stats/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=1996-97&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals): 20-39.. 51.3% (11 games)
Jordan 1998 Playoffs (https://www.nba.com/stats/players/clutch-traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1&Season=1997-98&SeasonType=Playoffs&PerMode=Totals): 22-50.. 44.0% (14 games)

TLDR: down the stretch of tight games (last 5 minutes within 5 points), Lebron shot 41% on 3.0 attempts per game for his playoff career (04-19'), compared 47% on 3.6 attempts for old MJ in 97' and 98'.. So MJ shot much better in the clutch with far more attempts (20% bigger clutch load/attempts).

Chris Broussard mentioned Jordan 9 had buzzer beaters in his career and #1. Kobe and Joe Johnson 8 buzzer beaters and Lebron 7. This includes season and playoffs. Despite Lebron playing more games than either.

I thought OP was all about the totals...he doesn't do averages.

Therefore Derozan is his leading scorer

BTW....LeBarrys average ppg this season, is basically Jordans entire career average...

And Jordan didn't play in the inflated stats era.

Let that sink in for a minute

So MJ didn't play in the 80's? One of the most stat inflated eras ever?

Even in a season like this his legacy goes even higher.

Accomplishments this year:
1st all time reg and playoff points.
2nd all time reg points.
1st team all nba.
Potential scoring title.

It's getting closer to the Lakers being officially out of the playoffs, so it's almost time for us to reveal what would've saved the Laker season.. I'm actually astounded that Vogel and the coaching staff doesn't see this

Yaaaawwwwwwwwn. This again?

If longevity stats mattered, Westbrook would be ahead of Oscar Robertson all time.

Carmelo Anthony would be top ten of all time.

Karl Malone would be top three of all time.

Damage control

jordon's highest ppg scoring title (37 ppg), and by far most convincing scoring title of his career (8 ppg difference) was on a losing team. :oldlol:
Then The Great Scott Pippen came along to save his one-dimensional ass by doing everything for the Bulls, so that one-dimensional scorer-only jordon could enjoy his otherwise empirically proven empty scoring titles on winning teams.
