Stuff is primarily manufactured overseas, especially in China, because of one simple fact... human beings are greedy. Corporations sought the cheapest possible place to manufacture and so that's why they set up shop there.

Because it's as close to slave labor as they can possibly get away with.

Additionally, you support these behaviors every single time you buy any Chinese manufactured product, of which, I am sure, you have many.

Also, I know for a fact that you support these business practices because it's very probable that you're posting on this website with goods that were at least in part manufactured in China and virtually guaranteed to be manufactured in some other foreign country, regardless.

And Americans have largely benefited from this relationship with China and other foreign nations so long as we held on to the world reserve currency, which we have repeatedly abused and it is slipping from our fingers by the minute. But with us producing little other than food, gas & entertainment/ideas, and the currency failing... it is going to come back to bite us in the ass in a big way in the long run. Because Americans that are shortsighted, lazy and spoiled benefited from these behaviors, they allowed it to happen.

China is still listed as a third world country in terms of shipping goods. Hence why all the goods shipped from china are for couple of cents to a dollar. See ebay for example. But if you ship from mexico or to canada, it costs $25.

Why do you ask? Because they want all the manufacturing in china and not at those places. Thats just a simple explanation to explain to someone as stupid as you where this may be something you actually experience
