I actually dont remember from last year how the play in affects the lottery.

Do the 9th and 10th seeds still get a shot, even if they win the playin and make the dance? Do none of them get odds and it’s just reduced to a ten team lottery?

Bc depending on how that works, it’s conceivable the Lakers or Nets could get the #1 pick :lol

Itd be pretty cool if it went to the Lakers. Obviously the draft is crucial for the integrity of the league and needs to be handled as such. But of course, there are a lot of factors that affect the health of the league. Adam Silver may want to weigh ALL the relevant factors if the Lakers do get a ping pong ball.

Again, Im not suggesting anything. I just think itd be really cool if Lebron got the #1 pick by happenstance.

Lakers sadly do not own their pick. It was traded to NO in the AD trade (unprotected) and the Pels traded it to Memphis but it's top 10 protected, so the Pels currently own that pick, which is why they celebrated as hard as they did after that last win over the Lakers.

And no, the play-in teams that make the POs do not get a lottery pick.
