View Full Version : The 2022 scoring title & the Lakers missing the play-in

LeGed has only played 56 games this season up to today (Mon 04/04). It is required to have 70% or 58 games in to be eligible for the scoring title.

If the Lakers lose tomorrow @ Phoenix and get eliminated from the play-in, will Lebron play in any or all of the remaining 3 games to scoring title chase / stat pad?
Otherwise you've got a dude with a ton of mileage playing for absolutely nothing at that point.

Thoughts?

Lakers losing tomorrow would not eliminate them from the play-in, only if the Spurs win their next game (@ Denver) also.

I think he will go for it, given his narcissism.

The Spurs are 33-45 and the Lakers 31-47, and the Spurs hold the tiebreaker. So 3 full games behind right now with 4 left to go. So wouldn't it be if the Lakers lose and the Spurs win *any* of their remaining games? Let's assume the Lakers go 3-1 and the Spurs 1-3. That would mean they tie with 34-48, and tie to San Antonio. I could be wrong, it's early in the morning.

This could be a missed opportunity to statpad in the POs and further push the numbers, lol

Lebron is well aware of his legacy. He'll get the games in. Besides, after this crap season why not? He should go after it. How funny will it be though if he doesn't?

Yes of course, any of the remaining games.

But the Lakers losing alone to the Suns, would not do the trick yet.

He will only play against a sub .500 team to stat pad. The other teams play too much defense for him
