No one expected him to, though (no one with a brain).
Hes gonna come back next season and Nets gonna be dangerous AF...we know he's the perfect fit for this team.
And theyll be dangerous with Simmons for years.
Meanwhile, Philly gonna be regretting getting about the worst deal possible for him, 10/10 loser Harden

Any season you have KD and don't have a shot at the championship is a colossal waste. Brooklyn needed to trade Harden but they needed to get back players that would help immediately. This will now be three seasons of Durant and Irving with nothing to show for it. They are in danger of becoming the greatest team that never was.

It's weird. Vegas still has BKN at +550, which is just 3rd behind PHX and MIL.
I don't see it. At some point, you have to say a team is what their record suggests they are. BKN has to win 2 games just to get in the playoffs. Unless if KD and Kyrie go God mode, I don't see them chipping.

They did in Curry (shooting/spacing) and Drummond (size/rebounding).
They're still not winning.

They didn't trade Harden for two role-players. Even if you are getting multiple players back of you deal a superstar there had to be a major talent in there. And there is but he's not playing.

And every year there’s an excuse followed by “But next year this team is gonna be UNSTOPPABLE!”
People never learn.

With Harris out for the year and Simmons looking less and less likely to come back im starting to accept we might not win a championship this year
KD is 33 and Kyrie just turned 30 so we still got another 2-3 years of our window
With everyone 100% nobody can beat us
