43 days? The only was that is possible is if you start off at like 400 pounds and even then, your organs would start to deteriorate after a month or so. Unless you mean you didn’t eat solid food, but drank protein shakes, smoothies etc.

Your metabolism would slow down and your body would go into starvation mode to prevent that from happening

I constantly go 6 hours without eating, but can't imagine going the entire day without a meal.

If your body is in starvation mode, you would only recover by being hospitalized. You are not going to eat a whataburger and be all good. Although honestly, not sure what is worse, starvation or eating a whataburger.

went 3 days a few times. you start shitting old impacted turds from half a decade ago. you also get insane water shits and shart your underwear multiple times. piss really dark polluted urine. your kidneys hurt. you get super dizzy. your knees feel like the tendons are about to snap just walking. but you can lose 5 pounds of real weight. the 10 or 15 pounds of water weight will be gained back after a day

Pneumonia could be a fatal for an old geezer like you. I hope you're taking better care of yourself, gramps.

I have had it at least 14 times... I already know when my time comes 70% it will be from it.

I recently decided to embark on a five-day fast to see how it would affect me physically and mentally.

Day 1: The first day of my fast was challenging. I felt hungry and irritable, and my stomach growled throughout the day. However, I found that drinking water and herbal tea helped to ease my hunger pangs, and I tried to keep myself busy with work and other activities to distract myself from the fact that I wasn't eating.

Day 2: On the second day, I woke up feeling more energized than the day before. I still felt hungry, but my body seemed to have adjusted to the lack of food. I noticed that my focus was sharper, and I was able to concentrate better on my work.

Day 3: By day three, I had hit my stride. I no longer felt hungry, and I had more energy than I had on the previous days. I went for a walk in the park, and the fresh air and exercise helped to lift my spirits.

Day 4: On day four, I started to feel a bit weaker. I had a headache and felt a bit dizzy at times, but I attributed this to the fact that I had not eaten for several days. I took it easy and spent most of the day resting.

Day 5: The final day of my fast was the most challenging. I felt weaker than I had on the previous days, and I was counting down the hours until I could break my fast. However, I was also proud of myself for making it this far and was excited to see how my body would react to a food after five days without eating.

Day 6: I enjoyed a huge burger with my favorite spicy sausage dip (https://30minutesmeals.com/velveeta-spicy-sausage-dip-recipe/) and soda.

It was tough and frankly speaking I don't want to repeat this experience once again.

You're probably lacking vitamin D. Check your vitamin D levels.

.

When you have pneumonia it scares your lungs. I have had Bronc and other lung issues thru-out my life.
I wish it was as simple as taking a pill.

I was in karate , so I used to meditate as well as fast.
Used to fast every Wed. Longest was 3 days.
When I fasted I never ate or drank anything.

Really cleans your system out.

I have to reply to myself. Happy Ramadan to everyone, I already lost 12 lbs from my winter weight in a little over a week

The key to fasting is when you're ready to eat, don't overeat. And obviously leave the oily greasy and sugary stuff, I'm still working on the last one. But 12lbs is 12lbs. I'm not a heavy dude but metabolism has exited left :lol

Just take the vitamin D. I'm not saying that it's going to remove the scars in your lungs. Vitamin D has been shown to very good in immune function. Meaning less pneumonia and China virus. Or whatever you want to call it.

I still fast for 48-60 hours one every 3-4 months. I only eat one meal a day around 5-6PM. So I'm fasting for 23-24 hours everyday anyway. Usually meat with some veggies. Only drink water and sometimes milk. Green tea. I will blend half a lemon with some strawberries, cranberries, blueberries and raspberries plus 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar 2-3 a week to keep the guy healthy.

Usually only 25-50g carbs a day

dam that is great

I typically only eat one meal a day ... bad habits working nights for 40 years.
But I snack.
Being retired now my snacks aren't junk , so it fuels the system.

5 days, but I was in the hospital and had just undergone urinary tract surgery. I had a IV plugged into my arm, so I think it doesn't really count.

OMAD is healthy in my opinion is you're getting your nutritions in. It greatly helped stabilize your insulin response because you're not spiking and crashing your blood sugar several times per day. Meat, especially red meat is a very nutrient-dense food. You can get a ton of what you need from good cuts of steak.

Different things work for different people obviously, but I think I'd you cut carbs down to 25-50 grams per day, at least fast 16/8 and drink plenty of water that will do you huge.
