I love following Durant , what he's trying on the court , and his chats with guys like espn, tnt and pod casts...
Remember when he used to work out with Lebron.
First thought he is going to take his body and start building it up with muscle and make an impact on the court.
How - start playing inside as well as his natural position outside the arc.
* IT NEVER HAPPENED.
I look at him today after all the years in Oak , and Frisco , and his frame is the same , game still the same , and maybe he is even more thin.
(He obviously isn't old school and taking the road as Giannis did for example with 40+ pounds added to his frame. )
So Durant will always be considered a soft SF perimeter player.
(absolutely nothing wrong with that 100%)
So I have to go back in my memory bank and put the ' who does he remind me of'
And I came up with two guys.
Bob McAdoo and the Ice man.
Bob was lengthy but had a beautiful mid range game that brought players out from the hoop.
Iceman just had one of the purest touches known to any basketball historian .
Durant is a 75 of all time player , and obviously a HOF player we can watch.
What most people don't know is that this guy like Giannis truly only lives for bball.
He stated that a while back on a pod cast... and I believe it.
we could say he isn't a historian , but I can guarantee he is a student of the game.
Watch him in a game and watch what he does... pure 100% smart player.
What's your take on him ?? :confusedshrug:
