Pivotal playoff-seeding implications tonight between two of the most favorable Eastern Conference contenders. Whoever wins tonight will most likely—also depending on the outcome of the 76er's matchup tonight—wrest the second seed from each other and have a best-case-scenario chance of the first seed.

The Celtics, who lead the regular-season series 2-1, could ensure the potentially decisive tiebreaker tonight with a victory here. It's also noteworthy that either team would hold the tiebreaker against the first-seeded Heat should such a deadlock occur.

Celtics with no Tatum Williams and Horford. Not a showdown. Every team literally has a back to back to end the season. So stupid

sorry OP,

all I can think of is how disgusting it is that the Spurs are in over the Lakers cause of "conference H2H".

What bullshit.

I'll happily take the win, but it's still a bit worrisome. Celtics gave us a run for our money despite missing three starters.

Not liking how lethargic the Deer looked out there tonight; there seemed to be little sense of urgency on all those 50-50 balls. It's clear this full season has been taking a toll on them. I can only hope some preplayoffs rest will help rejuvenate them.

It's for that reason I still feel our seeding is up in the air. They'll either be running on fumes or outright sit out for these last-two games, and it's still possible for Boston and Philly to overtake us. I wouldn't mind the third seed (facing the Bulls instead of the Nets), but I'm even less comfortable facing the Celtics without HCA after tonight.
