Spacing = iso

So today's game allows iso's wherever the ball is passed - aka there's no need to entirely clear out one side of the floor to iso like the unspaced 80's.. These clearouts were rarely used because they were so cumbersome and easily beatable.

Infact, the only time those clearouts were used regularly in a game was the 2015 Finals when Lebron was on an island for 6 straight games.. So even though he was carrying the scoring load, he wasn't facing max defensive attention (no doubles) because his broke jumper at high volumes wasn't worth doubling.. Doubling compromises the defense by giving up a 4-on-3 off-the-ball, so there's no reason to do that against a broke jumper.
