Charles barely caught the ball with the tip of his hand. He's extremely lucky he didn't break a finger with the force Shaq was poised to come down with and he very well might have if David Robinson didn't have a body on Shaq already

^^^ Wow... And Jordan ragdolled that guy in the Finals while his sidekick wet the bed with 46% true shooting and was outplayed by Barkley's 3rd option Majerle (gamescore)

So on account of 'GameScore' the top 5 players in the series were:

MJ 29.6 (Bulls)
Barkley 23.4( Suns)
Marjele 17.0 (Suns)
Pippen 15.6(Bulls)
Grant 12.8 (Bulls)

3 of the top 5 players were on Chicago( and if you want to look further under the hood, BJ had a higher GmSc than KJ). Chicago won having the majority of higher 'GmSc' players......carry on. Watching your own narratives backfire by applying your own stupid logic is its own reward.

We already know that KJ was hurt and the Bulls probably lose if he's healthy

One year later in 1994 - KJ averaged 27/5/9 against Hakeem's Rockets in 7 games - he was first option over Barkley.. The same thing happened in 95' - KJ averaged 26/5/9 in a 7 game series against Hakeem while Barkley is MIA again.. KJ also upset Magic's 1seed in 1990 before Barkley arrived, so KJ is one of the most underrated players ever

Again, the Suns would've easily won if KJ or Ceballos were healthy because the Bulls were a 1-man team - 1 guy got 41 ppg, while his sidekick shot 46% true shooting and let a 4th option rookie get Kawhi's stats from the 14' Finals (16 on 57% for Dumas)

That wasn't in question( KJ's injury, though I think if healthy it's a 7 game series in Chicago's favor). Point is the Bulls still had 3 of the top 5 players in the series on account of GmSc. That's your metric, so don't backpedal when it doesn't serve your agenda. Pippen was inefficient scoring but still outscored the Suns 2nd option in addition to adding 9 rebounds, 8 assists, two steals and a block.. columns you don't bother looking at and boiling your arguments to PPG rhetoric.

Barkley did this with his left hand on Shaq in an All Star game. Compare that to today's all star games where everybody is a *****. And plays no defense. Have to respect Barkley.

:applause: 3-ball also forgets that Barkley was injured for most of the 93-94 season and was injured in the series with the Rockets in 94-95. He could hardly move in game 7 (and would not have been able to play the next series). He talks about KJ being injured in the 93 finals but forgets Barkley's injuries the next two seasons. He also forgets how the Suns had a better winning % without KJ in the 92-93 season. KJ was a first drive score then pass PG. He did not make others better ala what Stockton did with Malone in Utah.

Not disagreeing with you overall but KJ absolutely was a great playmaker who elevated his teammates. Between 1989-92, the Suns were 8-10 without KJ.

w/o KJ: 103.6 PPG | 45.8 FG% | 33.1% 3P% | 17.2 TOs

w/ KJ: 115.6 PPG | 49.8 FG% | 34.6% 3P% | 15.1 TOs

Their PPG would basically put them in the bottom third of the league while with KJ they were consistently a top 3 offense.

He was a great driving scoring PG. But he would have been better if he focused more on playmaking. I think he should make the HOF btw.

But his conduct and achievements off the court make a more compelling case, than KJ’s on court performance outside of what KJ did during chuck’s injured PHX years.

if only barkley cared about defense all the time. he would be the goat power forward. as it is hes behind tim, dirk, KG and Giannis
