So as long as the Nets win their next game, this is what we're getting

Let's assume Ben doesn't play. Then you can make a separate prediction if he does

How is this one playing out? I don't watch enough games to know the details of either team, but my gut says this is an upset regardless if Ben plays or not.

Damn, was hoping Nets got the Bucks in the 1st round, that would have been an insane 1st round matchup. :lol

Then again, it's better to get those matchups as the playoffs go on.

LOL @ Bucks sitting all their players tonight, flat out ducked the Nets.

Celtics will probably be without Robert Williams in the 1st round so if they do matchup I have the Nets, but anything is possible, Boston have played at an elite level since February.

There is no chance in Hell Ben Simmons first game back is a playoff game against Celtics, in Boston.

Not happening, never.

There's not enough info out to really know.

At this point I don't expect him back soon or maybe again this year at all. The reports thus far are too vague to really know tho

Nets are somehow a worse team than last year. Spencer Dinwiddie was a good role player, and losing him hurts. I'm not confident KD can carry the team by himself, but I'm not convinced the Celtics are a legit contender either. The way both teams have been playing, I think you have to go with the Celtics right now.

Lol, I think the Nets are happy too they won't be playing the Bucks.

But it might backfire for the Bucks if Simmons is healthy by the time they do meet, if they meet sometime.

Based on the second half of the season C's would seem to be the clear favorite. Altho a lot of it comes down to the matchup itself.

I'd probably still lean Celtics but wouldnt be surprised with either result.

I don’t know but if kyrie 4-1’s them again he might be on kyrie papa kyrie status with Boston :oldlol:… remember he was on most of those Lebron teams that use to use Boston as a piņata every year in the playoffs :oldlol:

Everybody is assuming the Nets to be 7th just like they predicted them to win last year.

Watch them lose to the Cavaliers in Cleveland and then to the Hawks right after.

They don't have defense on the perimeter and the interior. That's a huge problem especially facing young teams like the cavaliers, Hawks, Hornets.

As a Celtics fan I think the nets take a long series.

The Celtics were dodging Toronto because at least Jaylen Brown isn’t vaccinated- something every Boston fan wants to bury because it doesn’t agree with their views but it’s clear they didn’t want the 3 or 4 seed for that reason. No other reasoning makes sense.

That along with Williams being injured changed the destiny of their entire season

Nets are either facing the Bucks or the Heat in the first round. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT OP?

We've got guys who can defend, it's nice to dream that we will lose in the play in tournament but it's not going to happen

Nets in 5 vs Boston like last year

Btw I don't know why Loston fans keep on bringing up Williams injury like he's some massive difference maker :oldlol:

Nets are definitely the scariest first round opponent but the Celtics aren't scared of them. They could have avoided this by losing... although playing in Toronto without Jaylen Brown isn't a great option either. There is no better shooter in the game than KD but there may not be a better physical build for defending him than Tatum (not as long but a long player with a major strength advantage). I would love to see Cleveland instead but that's not what I would bet on. And I do like the fact that the Celtics aren't scared. Brooklyn is almost as bad defensively as they are great offensively qwhereas the Celtics play hard on both ends. Let's see what happens.

Boston got DEFENSE and Offense.

They have the 2nd and 3rd best player in the series. They have a DPOY candidate in Smart. If Robert Williams III comes back and it's a wrap for your Nets. I would rather see the Nets lose in the first round tbh. We are coming for revenge for the Celtics.

Raptors vs Celtics round 2 :pimp:

I swear that you're incapable of actually comprehending anything I write. Lol.

"The Nets are somehow a worse team than last year." That was one statement.

"Spencer Dinwiddie was a good role player, losing him hurts." That was another statement.

How do you get that as me saying Dinwiddie played last year? Those two statements I made are not mutually exclusive. They are, in fact, both true. I know more than one thought in a single post can be VERY complex.....

Perfect test for Tatum. This will be a defining playoff series for his career, this is when he can finally make the jump from star to superstar.

Definitely not going to be easy very close series at best. Celtics entire season changed fate when williams got hurt and with the suspect (BS) vaccination stuff to dodge Toronto. It is what it is

Ohhhhh, you're not buying it. I hope for your sake that English is your second language. Let me break this down to a first grade level for you, since normal language is WAY over your head.

"The Nets are somehow a worse team than last year." Note the word "somehow." Note that I did not say they are a worse team than last year because they don't have Dinwiddie.

I further pointed out that losing Dinwiddie hurt them. Clearly a separate thought if you can understand English.

Moreover, I said in this other thread that Hondo had ONE MVP, so get your facts straight.

I think you're just grasping at straws because you're bitter that I trounced you in the Wilt vs. Bronie debate. Nice try, Dudley.
