Lakers' firing Vogel shows everything that's wrong with the organization

Unrealistic expectations and serious overreactions. The best-run organizations are the ones that stay the course: San Antonio, Boston, and Miami. They don't let the media rock their ship. They back their coaches and executives.

The true problem is that the Lakers are rotten at the top. When peoples' jobs are threatened, they look for scapegoats. People that they can blame for the team not meeting unrealistic expectations.

The franchise is being poorly run; what it needs is stability. Someone at the top who steadies the ship through rough waters. A Pat Riley of sorts.

You're not wrong. Adding to your point... its always brought up that the Lakers lowballed Lue on salary but they also insisted on control over who he hired on to his coaching staff. No coach is going to thrive in an environment without any autonomy.
