There's 2 reasons that teams win - talent and strategy/brand of ball
The 22' Lakers lacked the latter because the Lakers employed the worst kind of ball-dominance that has ALWAYS underachieved the expectation - big man ball-dominance, aka Lebron
People forget that Lebron failed to win a weak East with homecourt in 09/10, so he formed super-teams that fell from preseason favorite to Finals underdog or loser for 6 straight years (11-16').. Now he's lottery out West without AD to lead the scoring (better brand of ball).. So Lebron-ball has always underachieved the expectation.

Exactly, and people forget that he has a losing record in LA....when he first came to the lakers, he didnt make the playoffs remember? So he had a "groin" injury. Next year they got AD and won the "Bubble Ring". After that hes been losing. I really dont get why ESPN and all these sports outlets always talk about MJ vs Lebum when Lebum isn't even better than Kobe or Larry Bird? LOL like seriously ask 98% of the NBA players, they have Kobe over Lebum.

Lol, bron's "injuries" come at opportune times.
If they were stacked they would do well when he didn’t play.

There's a tiny sample of games where a team was healthy without Lebron, otherwise the 15' Heat and 11' Cavs were decimated by injuries.. So Lebron is a fraud that never carried teams or made anyone better - champion Wade taught Lebron how to perform under pressure and Lebron entered the 06' Playoffs with a veteran high seed (one of best teams in conference).

Bro you take the L whether or not he made the All star that year...Lebron averaged 26.3 ppg that year and Kyrie Irving averaged 25.2.... about a 1 point diff. If lebron is an ALL STAR or a GOAT, being that Kyrie is averaging about 1 less point than Lebron I say thats an all start caliber player.....now go away ****ing dumbass mother ****er....I swear you deserved to be smacked....I will do it to trust me lol

Yep :roll::roll::roll::roll:
Lebron didn’t miss anything, his team did. They couldn’t win 1 game without him lol.
Stacked team
The only good player other than Lebron on the team is AD and AD was injured more than half of the season. The rest are a bunch of G-leaguers or guys on 10-day contracts that wouldn’t even be on the bench of other teams and some old players like Melo who other teams make fun off and their whole offense is based on attacking him bc he is too old to move.
The Lakers have by far the worst roster in the NBA. They’d still have made the playoffs if Lebron didn’t injure himself, thats how good he is!GOAT

Nice try NewBalance1.
The Pelicans are without their best player for the entire year, yet qualified.
Unless you wanna say that Lebron isn't the Lakers best player.
The Spurs don't even have players as good as Brans and Westbrook, they still made it.

Of 36 combined seasons between them, this is the worst season in terms of record for LeBron and Howard. Let that sink in.
I mean this team's roster has more allstar appearances combined than losses this season, and that's saying something considering we basically had a 50-loss season if not for the role players going all out for their coach in the season finale. That right there sums up the entire season.
The role players had pride and would give it all for their coach when called upon. The stars would play for numbers and media coverage.
How did we go from Showtime to Slowtime? I mean not even Kobe going through a coaching change twice in a season while inheriting a rebuild lost this many. Heck, give AchillesBe this squad sans LeBron they likely win as many games if not more.
It's all about attitude. Winning wasn't #1 priority, simple as that.

Howard's decision in returning to the lakers this season hasn't gone so well.

I think this is the first time the preseason favorites missed the playoffs altogether. And with playin slots at that. Yikes!
